Ok, this is a bit of a stupid question. The baby is due in 6 weeks and I'm trying to get as much done as possible. Is it to early to sterilize bottles or will they be ok this far ahead?

Don't panic breastfeeding advocates! Oh, of course I should have known better than to leave out this vital information... I am going to breastfeed, but still need bottles, as I am planning on pumping so hubby can help with feedings since I also have a 1½ year old to take care of.

I do sterilize all her feeding kit a minimum of as quickly as an afternoon, properly at night as quickly as I get abode from paintings.... I wash all her bottles and my breastpump factors with warm water and cleansing soap and then sterilize by ability of boiling, yet there are different approaches of sterilization to boot... For the 1st 3 hundred and sixty 5 days toddlers have a low immunity and can catch unwell extremely, so which you're able to desire to make helpful they are risk-free and characteristic a clean atmosphere.....

They'll be fine. They need to be sterilized to prevent germs from other shoppers and the processing plant from getting on them. The germs in your house are germs your baby will be exposed to anyway. If your baby gets sick, I'd sterilize bottles again. Otherwise, just wash in the dishwasher or with warm soapy water and they'll be fine.

Naw, waste of time. Sterilize them the minute you get home with the baby! It only lasts a few hours.

You should consider breast feeding. It's healthier for the baby AND for you. Then the question is moot.
