My 4 1/2 month old daughter is sleeping on her belly every night now. Every morning I have to change her sheets and everything because they are wet. She sleeps 10-12 hours a night. Is there a better diaper that absorbs better in the front that I should try? I use Huggies now and I'm tired of everything being soaked every morning. Thanks in advance!!!

I just bought a size 3 instead of a two and I put them pretty tight. When I put her diaper on I pull on he waist to make sure its tight. When I can't overlap the tabs anymore I go to the next size.

Are you changing her right before bed? Does she wake at all during the night? Have you tried the next size up?
Honestly, Huggies might be better than Luvs or Pampers. Pampers has shown to hold more than Huggies in my experience, BUT the Pampers often has blowouts... and I am talking about that gel stuff that beads up inside. It just blows out, then you've got all this wet gel stuff all over the place.
Actually, i think I am going to call Huggies right now and ask them if they do something differently than the other brands....
Just got off the phone with them (and they are sending me coupons too)
She said that they all have the same gel stuff inside, but may be constructed differently.
She also talked about how you should move up to the next size as soon as they fit. For example.. a size 3 will physically fit on my son's body... but a size 4 will also fit and hold more.
She also said that if he tends to have a larger baldder... the overnights can be used any time and do hold more. She also mentioned that the overnights do not come in the big economy boxes.
I will encourage you to call them.... ask the same question you asked here. They will probably offer to send you some coupons when the call is over. You don't even have to ask for them!

I have the same issue with my son. I hate huggies. I find pampers, either cruisers or baby-dry, work much better. I make sure I keep him up a little while after that last bottle and change him right before bed (whether he's asleep or not) so he gets a little bit out of his system and we're starting out with a fresh diaper.
There are also overnight diapers made by a couple different companies (including huggies) which I have not tried yet, but hear good things about them.

I love pampers personally, I found that Huggies doesn't absorb as well. If huggies work fine for you during the day, I would suggest using diaper doublers during the night. Its an extra layer that you put inside the diaper to absorb more. They can be found in most supermarkets and Targets and
Wal-Marts.

Try the Huggies overnights diapers and try going up a size. Often when the child is getting closer to the upper weight range of the diaper size it will leak more.

I agree with DEZ. I had the same problem with Huggies. THe size chart on the box is not really accurate. I always had to move my son to the next size up several pound before the limit on the box.

I use Huggies myself and they work great. Another great choice is pampers that is what I used the first couple months. But one thing I can say is get one of those plastic covers for at night that is what I did because my daughter had the same issue at night.

I've heard they make something called "diaper doublers" that are supposed to absorb, but I use adult incontinence pads inside the diaper to absorb (quickly) all the pee! I just get the cheap kind, super absorbancy (not feminine pads) and they work like a charm! Goodluck

I'm not sure about diapers, but we bought super absorbent crib pads from a baby superstore. Still had to change the baby, of course, but it spared the crib sheets most of the time.

Pampers swaddlers work great for my kids. You must remember to change her diaper frequently though as too much urine will make a diaper leak as well. Also she may need a bigger size.
