My fiance and I want to get married right away and have been wanting to for a while but had to wait until the insurance plan he had at his job kicked in. That would have been next month but now he is getting another job and going back to college next semester so we won't have that insurance. I can't marry him until we have the insurance thing figured out because I won't be covered under my parents' once we are wed and they won't let us till this is done. This is more urgent than ever that we get married now because my parents are driving us mad trying to control everything. I just gave birth to our baby girl on Tuesday so we need to find a good family plan. If you have any advice on what insurance carriers have good, hopefully inexpensive coverage please share. Oh and we are all in great health so existing health conditions won't be a factor in finding insurance. And the state is VA.

Okay im 15 and 35 weeks pregnant. BUT i was rapped ( long story but im okay now). Im keeping the baby, & everytime im out in public people call me name (s*ut, and alot more). Im so tired of it!! My true friends have stuck by me and i love them dearly for not abonding me. If people our going to say things about me they should say them to my face! Just becouse im pregnant dosnt mean i dont have feelings!! God im so tired of it.
Okay my rants over sorry :), and please nobody tell me to give my baby up for adoption. I already love my baby ( even if i was rapped). Oh i do have a question.. What should i bring to the hospital when i go onto labor/when my water breaks? Thanks for listing to me :).

my son is 5 months.. He used to love being swaddled and would fall asleep right away.. Now he has more strength in his arms and fights me every time.. Starts crying and trying to get his hands out.. when i do let him get out of it, he knocks the pacifier out and gets even more upset... He doesnt mean to, he rubs his face not realizing he'll loose the dummy =[

He doesn't like being rocked, so i can't do that.. When i leave him unswaddled and lay him on his side, he wants to pat something! Or like play with something.. so he'll go for the pacifier if nothing else is in his reach - so i lay a blanket and he rubs on that.. hehe.. but moments later he still knocks the paci out..

So how can i help him without changing his sleeping associations? ( i don't want to cosleep or start rocking him to sleep, the goal is to get him to fall asleep on his own completely in the next months )

I understand that some women say that they "didn't feel comfortable" breastfeeding. Is this because they were molested as children or something? I guess I just don't personally understand and am curious.

so my son's getting better at eating rice cereal(we started him a couple of days ago....so common sense tells me he wont be drinking as much formula...
here's what his feeding sch. looks like now...please let me know if sounds normal(ok) to you.

7:30 am - 8oz formula

11:00am- 5 oz formula + 1-1.5 tbs cereal

3:00pm 7-8oz formula

7:00pm 4-5oz formula 1-1.5 tbs cereal

9:30pm 6-8oz formula
(bed)
Sometimes wakes up for a snack(4 oz of formula at 11:30pm

just wanted to know if it sounds about right...I'm so used to him eating 7-8 oz every feeding....so the cereal thing is kinda throwing me off... thanks in advance

My daughter was born on the 22nd and is small to begin with, only around 6 pounds. I switched to formula after a day and a half of breastfeeding because it wasnt satisfying her. I am pretty set on using formula now. The problem is she was up all night. She ate at least 6 ounces during the night. She was literally just eating and pooping and crying. This morning (just like yesterday) she fell asleep after I fed her around 10:30-11. I tried to wake her up to feed her because she isnt supposed to go more than 3 hours without eating but she was too tired. I tried again but she still just slept. She had 3 wet diapers and more poopy ones than I can remember last night, so I know she got enough to eat. I'm just concerned that she hasnt eaten in 3 1/2-4 hours. What should I do? Will she be okay? Should I just let her sleep to build up a little bit of energy to eat before I freak out about it?

Thank you for any advice!

After talking to 3 LC I found out I have a low supply. Oh, I might be pregnant so I'm trying to watch what I do to boost my supply. The supply issues started before possible pregnancy. I have a few questions.

1) I know I shouldn't take fenugreek if pregnant I was reading on drjaygordon.com the blesses thistle is okay while pregnant but is there anything else that would work better that would be safe in pregnancy?

2) Is it still okay to try pumping on top of nursing?

3) I need larger breast shells for my pump but I don't know the brand. All it says on it is "The Milk Bank Pump". Anyone have any ideas on where I could get parts for it?

4) How can you tell when you can back off on the supplements? I know I can't yet because I already tried.

5)How do you balance supplementing without making your supply worse?

6) Is it possible to use an SNS with an 8 month old?

I think that wraps up my question. As you can see I forgot to ask the LC some things. Thanks in advanc

i think there may have been a tidbit of information i picked up somewhere along the way that said for some reason, babies arent supposed to eat berries (whether cut up or purreed) until 12 months. is this true? if so, why not? and is it all berries or just some?
