I have been slowly making the list of invitees to my baby shower, and I was not sure what amount is too small and what amount is to large.

Ok, so I figured this may sound like a stupid question, but I'm asking anyway lol. This is my first baby-bear with me yall- please. I wanted to know what do people bring their babies home in? My baby boy will arrive in the fall so I was wondering what did you all bring your fall babies home in? I never really saw a newborn in a fall jacket- just all wrapped up in blankets and hat of course.?. Please share with me what you all did.
Thanks

My dad owns his own business building custom woodwork for sculptures. I used to work with him sanding the bases for the sculptures and suddenly I find myself needing to make a quick buck. The problem is I also just found out I am six weeks pregnant. I was told that walnut dust is toxic and most of what he uses is walnut. Is there any way I would safely be able to do any sanding for him (e.g a dust mask, sanding outdoors...)?

I have recently began working again and I am pumping breastmilk 2-3 times a day during my 9 hour shift. My question is what is the best way to clean the pump until I get home? I have the Medela wipes, but when I use them, the pump seems very "sudsy". The directions told me there was no need to rinse after? I don't have access to a clean sink where I can thoroughly wash it, or to a microwave so I can use the bags. And what happens if the pump is not cleaned good enough? How will I know?

My baby is only 4 months but she constatntly sticks her hands in her mouth. Last week she cried so much that I got scared and took her to the doctor and he said she was perfectly fine. I know its not colic. So does this mean that she could be teething? She does not have a faver or any sign of teething. What is it?

I am getting ready to purchase a breast pump and I have heard that some work better than others. Any suggestions?

In these commercials, it's now just about always showing the baby being a girl. A mother and her baby girl. What are they trying to imply, that they think girls are better than boys?(Which by the way, I totally disagree with) They hardly ever show it being a mother and her baby boy.

Does this offend you a little?
Especially if you've had a baby and it was a boy, not a girl?

I saw the doctor because my 3.5 month old baby has a rash that keeps coming back. Started a little bit on her face and went away. It came back a bit there and now she recently got it on parts of her tummy, upper thighs, elbows and parts of her back as well. She glanced at it and she said that could probably be eczema. I was told to put Vaseline on her several times throughout the day, cortozone 2 times per day, and no soapy water. She said that it wouldn't start getting better until she was like 2 years old.
1. Could eczema be confused with something else like just an allergy?
2. Is there anything better that I can do for my baby?
3. Did your child have this and how did it go for you?
4. Did it go away, was it easy to control etc..?

Thanks for any help/advice!!

My 2 mnth old son is a bright and happy child. Though latley he has been screaming in pain and has had a rash all over his body that has been there for a little over a month. My sons doctor says it is not baby acne or a heat rash but has no clue what it is. Anyone have any idea what this could possibly be?

When breast feeding my 4 month old son he has started in the last week to feed for about 5 minutes and then let go to look up and make hmmmm noises. He then starts feeding again after about 1 minute but from then on until i change him sides he will have about 2 or 3 sucks and then look and hmmmm again. When i change him sides the exact same thing happens. I have tried starting feeding him on both sides, thought one side may be more comfy than the other. Has anyone else had this happen, it is very cute and all but I am worried that i am going to start rushing him because the whole feeding time is starting to take longer and longer and I do not want him to miss out on any of his feed and then be hungry before he is due for his next feed.

She is healthy and very active. Loves to play with toys. She sits on her own very well. But she hates being put on her tummy. And won't even try to roll over (other than side to side) or to crawl. Could this mean there is a problem? Or do some babies just do this later than others? My first born was very early about learning everything.

I have a 5 day old lil girl and I got a sleep positioner and have been using it since I got home from the hospital but I just read online they are not safe. I thought they helped prevent sids but apparently they don't. Do you moms use these? Has anyone ever heard of them not being safe?? ?Thanks for the advice. I'm a first time mom and nervous...

ok well i had a baby 4 months ago and my husband is haivng some issues in the bedroom. we're using condoms becausew of complications with with birth control and we dont want to get pregnant right away again. before getting pregnant when i was on bd we never used condoms in the 4 yrs we've been sleeping together (except right at the start_ anyways i guess you could say he got spoiled and he finally came out and told me hes not enjoying sex as much for this reason. we tried the today sponge but hes quite large and could feel it and i dont really like it much - its weird. is there anything else we can consider as this sex issue is starting to affect our relationship and making things difficult. how should i deal with this and what should i do? anytime he asks me to try something new, i do and im very open minded and hes reassured me its not ME (i did just have a baby- not so confident these days) its the condom issue. and i mean we;re not irresponsible enough to just have sex unprotected.

My son was jsut born 3 days ago and for him being my third child i thought he would weigh more at birth. I know that if he wasn't healthy we wouldnt have been released from the hospital, but I'm just a little concerned or maybe its just post baby blues. He was also born at 38 weeks, does that have anything to do with it? He's eating really well but I'm still very nervous.

My son is 3 month old and just started pushing his bottle away about a week ago...even when he's hungry, he'll start eating then push it away but then he starts crying and freaking out and when u give it back to him he stops and it just continues like that for awhile untill i have to force him to finish eating.
