If your baby has a poopy diaper squirt mineral oil on their butt then wipe off with a paper towel (wipes irritate the skin) then once you are ready to put on a clean diaper use BagBalm - its in a green metal cube with a cow on it (originally for cow utters) - it works extremely well. The one other thing that works excellent, but you need a prescription for, is ilex - if you do use this be sure to put ALOT of vaseline on top or their little cheeks will stick together - not good, trust me.

Hi there!

Dont use wipes use a face washer and i think that you should put on Bepanthen that worked for my daughter or there are others like the Johnson's Baby nappy rash treatment cream or Sudo Cream they are found at the local chemist..

Also try and let your baby have the nappy off for periods of the day not being in a nappy also helps to clear it up faster!

Hope this helps..
Good Luck!

do not use wipes or at least get the gentle hypoallergenic ones. use a warm wash cloth with no soap or additives. i never really had diaper rash with my twins so hard to say what to use AFTER they have it, but i swore by powder at every changing and my kids never had diaper rash. i know people will scream about the dust and all that, but use the natural cornstarch version and put it in your hand and then "slather" on the baby. with TWO butts and countless diapers we never had diaper rash.

a note on if the traditional remedies dont work, talk to your dr as it might be a yeast infection. my daughter got one of those from an antibiotic and the "normal" diaper rash treatments only made it WORSE.

Air her out when ever you think of it. Find out what is causing it. Keep her clean and as dry as you can. You can use cornstarch and A&D. Some of these rashes just stay long enough to worry us and some of them are more serious. Figuring out what is causing it can be a challenge. Is she eating new foods? Are you feeding her things that little babies shouldnt have? Did you change detergents? Are there perfumey things in the diapers you are using? One of the few times my baby had a rash was when I used dispoable diapers because we went on a train trip.
Good Luck!

Pawpaw ointment is very good for nappy rash and is available in most supermarkets and chemists. I would be inclined to leave bub without nappy on for long stretches at a time and with just a cloth nappy or towel underneath. Fresh air is good for them.

if you have used diaper rash cream, baby powder, etc. and if you have aired your baby out by letting him/her lay naked for a few minutes, and if you have made sure to change his/her diaper at least every two hours, but the rash has lasted longer than 7 days and is bloody or if there is lots of puss, you need to go to the doctor because it could either be a fungus or an allergic reaction from the diapers and the doctor will prescribe a cream. the same thing happened to my daughter, and i realized that she is allergic to cheap diapers. lots of babies are.

You could try cloth diapers to let baby's skin breathe. You just need to put a liner on them if you use a diaper rash cream since it affects the absorbancy of the diapers if you get it right on the diaper.

My daughter has only had it twice but I used warm water and a washcloth. And I also used "Bordeaux butt paste". Her doctor said it's better than anything else on the market. Oh, and change diapers frequently, like every 2 hours during the day until it's gone. Cuz the pee and poop make it more irritated. Good luck

Leave him on a rug without a nappy on. let him roll around and enjoy!

fresh air helps a lot, check out what powders or creams your using, your baby could have a reaction to something, especially if your doing all you can and nothing works.
