At what age does the fontanel completelty close? I thought it was by the age of 12 months! My daughter is 15 months in a week and her fontanel is still slightly open.

my daughter is just over 3 months old. she is a vey hungary baby and although she was born at 6lb 9 1/2 oz she is now the weight of a 4-5 month old(accoring to the guidelines on the back of the formula) i havnt started to give her solids yet because people keep telling me its too early but she has 6 oz every 2-3 hours. ill be lucky if she goes 3. the thing is though she sleeps through the night so im not sure wheather shes eating more during the day because she hasnt eaten in the night? sometimes she will wake up at about 3 o clock but thats quite rare! id just like some opinion on this as it would help me alot to know when you all started feeding your baby solids!
thanks x

I'm sure this is rare, but I have shingles and am pregnant and have a 1 year old. Just wondering if this happened to anyone else & what your experience was. I'm personally very stressed about it.

Thank you for your comments.

It started off with a little bit of red bumps on his cheek (on face), then expanded, then went up to the hairline, then the other cheek, then the forehead...

Its more and more everyday! The pediatritian said it looks like heat rash, but didn't say for sure it is.

What can I do? I already wash his face with aveeno and don't use lotion. I make sure he isn't too hot.

I just feel so low and when I fight with my husband I feel like I hate myself and I don't deserve to be with him or the baby. I am so scared that I'm going to be bad mom now... I have just changed so much in a month, and I see it... I have only been like this for two weeks now.. i'm embarassed to tell my doctor how i feel... is this normal?! please help me,before i lose my family...

I am somewhat familiar with him and some of his habits, and know the basics of baby care, but this isnt like starting with a new baby and learning as you go...he has his own ideals already of how things should go and doesnt like for me to change them! I have so many questions to ask...but thought it might be best to simply ask for general advice and go from there.

My pediatrician told me I could start my 2month old on veggies so today I tried to give him some but I'm not sure I'm introducing it to him properly. It seems as though his tummy is reacting to it badly. How should I be introducing him to it? He's been eating rice cereal with a spoon so it has nothing to do witht that and he has an easy time with the rice...

Hi just wondering about my 10 week old baby boys gums and teeth. I know its not impossible for him to be getting teeth now but it is unlikely. Obviously this is my first baby so i am unsure on how the gums should look. i can see teeth. the shape and the whiteness where the tooth looks very close to the surface of the gum. My mum, who has 4 children says he is not teething but i just cant stop looking at them and thinking they look like teeth ready to break through??? advice please????

My 6 month old has been breastfeeding since the day he was born and now all of a sudden it hurts when he eats and the pain is in my nipple and they just down right hurt. It feels like he is just biting them over and over again but he has no teeth. I have gotten to the point where I am considering switching him to the bottle but don't wanna do that because I breastfed my older son for 18 months. What could be causing this pain and how do I switch him to a bottle if this pain doesn't go away, we have tried giving him a bottle a few times in the past and he wants nothing to do with them. I have no clue what to do all I know is that I can't handle this pain for much longer.

I just had twin boys a week and a half ago. Their eye color is a dark brownish color. I have heard that if a baby is born with brown eyes the color will not change. I was just wondering if this is true or not....I havent found any evidence online contradicting OR confirming this myth, so I would appreciate any help! Thanks so much!

would you accept he/she as they were or would you have them surgically removed? This is assumming the extra digits would pose no health risk or physical debiltation, an otherwise completely healthy baby.
