If he were my child, I'd slip a little karo syrup in his rice cereal or bottle. If you're nursing him, almost anything is normal with poop unless it passes 3 days with no poop.

Are you breastfeeding? If you are it's totally normal.
My pediatrician always said you don't have to worry about them being constipated unless it's hard little balls of poop.
My breastfed babies poop was always the consistency of toothpaste and they'd only go about once a week lol!
Just an additional comment to the mom who recommended Karo syrup, my ped always said DON'T do that. Karo syrup can carry botulism spores, the same as honey and shouldn't be given to young children.

When you say think poops do you mean hard? If its just thick it is probably okay. If its hard then it is a sign of constipation. You might want to get some stage one prunes before it gets any worse

Are you breast feeding? If so, it could be something you ate, if not, watch him for a couple of days to see if thing go back to normal or not, if not, contact you pediatrician.
