Check the internet, I know there are home based jobs.

Good luck.

You are going to have to be very realistic while planning to work from home. Some folks are able to make something work, but don't fool yourself into thinking that you can watch your child and do good work all at the same time. Both are too time consuming. There are lots of things you can do from home, but you'll want to find something that doesn't require full time hours. Otherwise, you'll be caring for baby for 10-12 hours per day, working 8 hours per day, and only sleeping three or four.

Usually I would say the best place to start is with your current job, but waitressing from home just isn't an option. I'd start by talking to friends of yours and seeing what ideas they have, if anyone they know needs something you're able to do. Or doing an at-home babysitting service is always a good idea.

If you can borrow, or have 1000 dollars you can get a career in real estate going. You can find a local broker who will allow you to do most of your work from home, and then use family or friends to watch baby on the days you're in the office. If you call around and check with a few agencies, a lot of the time they will front you the cash for training and then you pay them back out of your first commission.

It works great when you have kids.

Another idea is tag sale, and hit small local auctions and sell stuff on ebay. I do that and buy the left over boxes and bags from a local auction house, I sell the contents for around 50-100 bucks per box. Not a bad turn around at all. But it takes a lot og diligence and smarts about packaging cheaply.

If you're not 6 weeks post partum you can get disability from the state until then, and then a few more weeks of unemployment while you get baby put together.

If you are low income you can get aid for child care.

Another GREAT idea for SAHM's is to take in an extra child or two. In most states you are not considered an unlicensed day care until you have more than three kids. Two kids is more than enough to make 300-400 bucks a week.

There are plenty of options.

I would recommend GE Money. It is basically a credit card company....They allow their employees to work from home.

There is also a place called RX solutions...a subsidiary of United healthcare group....After 9 months of training and working in the office, you can start working from home. United healthcare group is one of the top 100 employers to work for in the country, and they have divisions all over the country. They have a big website, and you have to schedule an interview online to even be considered, but the pay is decent.

There are so many "work at home" scams, so be careful.

My mom's friend works in advertising, as a stay at home job and he basically can do whatever he wants. I am not sure what company it is but, whatever he does he makes a good living because he has big screen tvs, a huge entertainment center, and like 5 electric guitars. I guess look up stay-at-home advertising on google or something.

Please check with your local community college. If you have that resource near you, you might find that you are eligible for some training. Often times there are programs available for free or reduced cost for people who aren't rich but want to be productive. You might be able to learn a skill that would allow you to work at home. Medical transcription work can usually be done at home with a computer. My mother works at home. She processes rebates that people mail in. It's a good job for her.
Good luck. Congratulations on your new family!

Southern Living at home is great! Plus you get to decorate your home for next to nothing (and a lot of the time free). Good luck.

Usually when we faced this problem, we always turned to taking care of others children. Day care in your home once you get the home safe for young children.

Try working for a local school district...the money is good, the job is stable, and you won't be working too many hours.
