When will my almost 3 month old begin to acutally grasp and hold on to things?

when mine was almost 3 1/2 or 4 months he started grabbing onto everything and putting it in his mouth. Keep in mind all babies develop differently but I would say average about 4 months.

this is a web site for autism but it has developmental charts worth looking at. remember all children are different some develope faster than others. The consensus is between 3 and 4 months.

a little before 5 months, the child should start reaching for things & holding onto them.
