mango doesnt cause constipation, on the contrary, it causes ease in emptying the bowels.

Mango should not be constipating...but, if you notice that your little one is struggling, prunes are the best. Don't feed her too much though, or you will have a major job to clean up. My son is almost 9mths, when I feed him prunes, I only give him about 1/2 of the stage one plastic container.

I wouldn't say a mango will do this. I haven't seen it in my kids before. Usually some apple juice will releive constipation in babies and toddlers.

Any solids in a very young baby can stop them up a little. I dont believe mango especially is.

mango, peaches, applesauce, pears ( all puree very well though) are good sources of fiber for babies. they don't usually cause constipation. Too much iron fortified formula may cause some constipation. It did for my daughter so, i had to switch to soy formula, and she just started on solids..........what a fun and messy time huh?......:-)
