We are in Canada with hot, but short summers. Baby is born the middle of June. The cute summer jackets are for 6 month babies, but it looks small..

In your experience are the '3 month' or '6 month' sizes acturate...?

My son is 9 months old, teething, and in pain. I have been giving him Tylenol (12 ml, as recommended by my ped) for the last few days, but only once - at night. I know it is safe to give a baby pain medication even every four hours, so I am not even close to that limit. However, I have been giving my son Tylenol ever night. After how many days should I take a break?

Two days ago, my son was diagnosed with RSV. They put him on a decongestant and gave us a nebulizer with albuterol for wheezing. He doesn't seem to be getting any better. How long will it take for the sickness to dissipate? I've heard that babies can die from RSV. I'm really worried and scared that he won't get better. Any advice or suggestions that I could use to make him and myself feel better?

I have found one LPN that offers doula services (she is not a certified doula) in our area. I spoke with her on the phone today, and she seems pretty knowledgable.

Are doula's worth the exta money? What do I look for in a doula?

Usually he sucks on his hands to let me know he is hungry, now he sucks all day long!! He wont take a binky except around 2-4am when we are training him to sleep through the night. Is it possible for him to be teething this early or is this just normal baby stuff?

I am throwing a baby shower for one of my good friends. I am inviting our Master's class (16 people), so there might be boys coming. Can anyone think of some good games we can play that aren't super cheesy? And some good prizes (that aren't too expensive) Thanks!

My 21/2 month old seems to be sleeping a lot suddenly. He wakes at about 7 a.m, takes a feed and sleeps in about an hour for a couple of hours. Gets up, has his bath, another feed and sleeps again for about 2-3 hours. Then gets up, takes a feed and goes off to sleep for another 2 hours or so. Gets up, another feed and again sleeps sometimes for an hour. From about 4 until 11 in the evening, he is usually up with a couple of small naps. he usually sleeps at 1 a.m and except for somenights when he wakes up at around 5 for a feed, he sleeps thru until around 7 again. Is everything ok with him??

My friend is trying do decide whether or not to get a Travel system (Stroller and infant carrier) or double stroller and infant carrier seperately. She has a son who will be close to 3 when her baby is born. She uses a stroller alot with her son, going for walks, hikes, etc. But his stroller has about had it. So she has to buy a new stroller for the new baby anyway. So my question, would u advise her to buy a travel system and let the 3 year old walk or a double stroller so both kids can ride on their walks/hikes?

I have a 7 month old daughter.
Recently, I've decided to go back to school and to go back to work.
I breastfeed, so I am looking for a job where I can take my daughter to work with me...like a child care facility.
I plan on attending school at night.

What kind of jobs should I look into? And how do I find them?

THANKS!!

about three and a half weeks ago my 8 month old had a pretty bad bout of diarrhea lasting about a week and a half, his poop was completely watery, and going through about 10 diapers a day (he normally poops once maybe twice); took him to the doctor who was not concerned at all, sent me home and told me to give him pedialyte. it got better for like two days, and then went back to diarrhea on and off for the last two weeks. a virus or infection wouldn't normally act this way so I'm trying to find other causes. I switched to bottled water, stopped giving him apple juice, cut out meat, stopped adding new foods and feed him only the foods he's been good on for months (the basics: veggies, cereal, bananas, etc.) nothing has helped. He's on enfamil lipil which he's always done great with since i stopped breastfeeding him at four months. What am I missing?? what's left that could be causing this??
