The doctor has prescribed oral antibiotics and eye drops. I'm afraid that this will cause eye problems.

My baby is 2 months and I've heard that I can start giving him a little rice cereal at night to help him sleep better. Should I put some in his bottle or from a spoon? I tried putting half a teaspoon in his 4 oz bottle last night, but I think he was having a hard time getting it out.

Well Im pregnant with my first baby..Me and my boyfriend do not want to find out the sex of our first born until the delivery day. But Ive been thinking alot about if the baby is a girl. Just to let you know this is a serious question not a joke and im not a teen just playing around on here. Im 24 years old. But anywho I have been thinking alot about if we do have alittle girl that im the only one that I want to give her a bath. I am so scared with all these stories on the news of molestation, and all these things happening to little girls out there. I dont want to offend my boyfriend because he is the father of the baby, and I dont have a doubt in my mind that he is going to be an amazing father..and would never do anything to hurt his child. But I just keep having these thoughts in the back of my head as no one else gives her a bath besides me. I dont want to take a chance. Is it that im just being to protective. Has any other mothers been protective like this over there child.?

My 3 month old baby spits up everytime we feed him and my doctor said to use mylicon infant drops. I was wondering if anyone uses these for babies that spit up and how well it actually works. And does anyone have any coupons for it that they would be willing to give me. I have other baby coupons I could trade.

The doctor said it's normal and we could try some anti-dandruff shampoo or try some hydro-cortisone ointment. We don't want to do either. Is there some home remedy? We do apply olive oil before bath.

I am wondering what a good hourly rate is to ask for. My suggestion to them was to find out the lowest part time weekly infant rate in the area, then cut it in half and pay me slightly less than the final number, but they want to do hourly just in case there is a day that she has to work late or her husband has to work late.

I asked this before and got 2 answers that gave me suggestions for hourly rates between 2 to 12 dollars an hour, and 3 more answers telling me not to watch the child because mine will be so young. Asking again to hopefully get some more input along the money lines. Watching my friends child enables me to not have to go out and get another part time job thereby taking time away from my newborn, I get to make money and stay at home at the same time, if I wasn't doing it this way i would be going back to work 6 weeks after his birth instead of being able to wait an extra two weeks.

What do you guys think is a reasonable rate to ask for infant daycare part time.

Dads, when your wife/partner was pregnant with first baby, how did u deal with it? What were your thoughts and fears and did u find it completely different once the baby was here? For instance, did u think that it would be harder with a newborn than it actually was, or worse? did u have to give up all your interests or did u manage to find a balance around work/play/family? My partner is a little freaked out at being a first-time dad in 10 weeks so im trying to get some info from experienced dads - thanks

hope you can see it.

The tech said it looked like a boy when the baby first came on the screen (which is the only reason I am so skeptical) we did see a little "thing" poking out. and I don't think it could be the labia swollen just yet because I am 16 1/2 weeks along. ]

look at the ultrasound and let me know what you think...

the picture is a little blurry, but on the left is a leg and to the right of that leg should be the penis. (the white dot) the print out was darker than what was on the monitor.

I know it may seem sexist, but what do you think of male babysitters? Would you feel comfortable with a man taking care of your child? Or do you prefer a woman? Why?

my daughter is 6 1/2 months, she can sit up on her own, can get on her hands and knees and rock, and she even can be on her hands and knees and sit up. She goes backwards but isn't actually crawling yet. Should I be concerned, or is this normal, she seems to just want to get around by sitting and then getting back on her hands and knees and rotating her butt so she sits in a different area.

They want to pay me by the hour, how much is a reasonable request? I told them to simply call around to daycares and find out what the infant part time rate is and then give me a bit less then that, but they want to do hourly. Any suggestions?
