Thank you for all the answers on my other question :-) . I really appreciate it, now I was wondering, what do you use to clean your baby's pierced ears? just water, peroxide, alcohol? and how often do you clean the piercings?
Thank you so much again :-)

When he bits I tell him no, but he laughs and thinks it funny. I'm not laughing. I'm afraid that once he starts pre school he may bit others. I DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN!!!

My pediatrician ok'ed me putting a little cereal in my son's bottle before bed (he is a BIG eater), so how do I do this? Aren't there special bottles and nipples that you do this with?

My daughter is 6 months old and we have been swaddling her at naps and at night with those wraps. Recently she has been getting out of it and when she does she starts to cry and we have to rewrap her. This happens like 4 or 5 times a night. Anyone have any ideas on how to get her to sleep without it? I am so exhausted.

Our church provided us with a baby dedictation time at the beginning of our service on Sunday. It consisted of a slide show with a prayer or scripture along with pictures of the babies. They presented us with a framed certificate for each baby and a book about parenting. It was very sweet and special and I want to send a note of thanks, but I know if I mail it....it may not ever make it. Is it okay to send the note via email?

I've heard and been told tons of different ages at when to pierce your baby girl's ears right, and also heard the "i took mine to a professional to get it done" line, but what's a professional? a 16 year old girl working at the earings and gold chains booth at the mall ? lol ....or a tattoo place that does piercing?
I've asked the local hospitals but none would do it.
I'm just curious because I want to get my girl's ears pierced and just want to take her to the best place possible. Where did you get your baby girl's ears pierced at?
Thanks for your answers :-)

when my son was born, the doctor left some gauge (cotton) in my wife. for 2 weeks, she had a serious infection. after that, a new doctor removed the gauge. 2 years later, she is still in pain and just found out may not have kids again. is this a lawsuit? if so, how much could we get.....serious answers only please. not a joke.

My friends 7 month old has a white coating on her tongue, she does not have any kind of diaper rash or yeast infection and does not use the bath water to clean her mouth and teeth. She is formula fed and has just started on solids such as avacado, banana, rice, prunes and sweet potatoes, could this be the cause?she does seem to be a little more fussy drinking and is drinking less but I am pretty sure that is due to starting solids.

My 2 month old daughter appears to have 2 butt cracks. One small crack at the top of her normal one. The doctor always checks it out and mentioned something about it when she was born- but since her spine looked fine in her utero ultrasounds nothing more was done. I just want to know how common this is and if it goes away or if she will always have this?
At her last checkup the ped. said we'll keep an eye on it to make sure it's not due to her spine not fusing properly.

This worries me.

Is it possible for a baby to start teething and really only have symptons at night? ie: crying, fussing. It seems like my 5 month old is very restless at night and is tossing and turning, sometimes being very fussy.

Is it an actual medical condition? Or is it an umbrella term for all moody babies?
Also do breastfed babies get colic?

I am a new mom and have never flown with a baby before. (and will need to do so this May) I have a two questions. How do I bring a car seat/stroller on a plane? Or another idea I'm considering (if they do this) is to not bring my car seat and stroller, and once I get to my destination, rent a car with a car seat. So my second question is do car rental places supply car seats?

My daughter will be 1 month tomorrow. She has periods through the day where she is so fussy due to gas. She has a lot of gas, which she passes. She is an excellent burper and she passes gas throughout the entire day. However, I think she is overly gassy. I give her Mylicon drops with EVERY feeding, which was recommended by the Dr. When I explained her fussiness the Dr. said, "it sounds like a little colic" (I thought he was too quick to say that. I don't think she is colicky. She shows no signs of colic. She's just uncomfortable). I asked if I should change formula since she is so gassy but he said no. She is on Enfamil Lipil with Iron right now. I asked a friend and she said she switched to Enfamil Gentlease. I want to be sure her formula is OK for her. Should i be persistent with the Dr? Is a formula change necessary?

My lil cousin Maddison has leigh's disease and she got RSV and in most cases RSV is not life threating but in her case it is and the doctors tried to take her off the breating machine on Saturday to see if she could breath on her own and she couldnt and they are going to try to take her off them tomorrow to see if she can breath on her own and if she cant they decided on Sunday that they would pull the plug because the disease has taken over the part of her brain that tells her to breath. Im so scared because shes only 7 months old and I dont want to lose her

my daughter is 11 weeks today. Previously, she's been taking between 3-4 oz every 3.5 - 4 hours. Now, She'll barely take in 2 oz and she's doing this weird thing with the nipple. She won't just feed, she'll keep turning her head and breaking suction, etc etc, I can see and hear the air bubbles in the bottle and I think it's causing her to take in more air because she was really gassy yesterday too (which caused her to be cranky). I thought maybe it was the beginning of an ear infection but she has no fever and no other signs... can't figure out why she's being so finicky with her bottles though and not eating like she used too. Has anybody else experienced this?

My daughter is 5 months old and I breastfeed. I had a period 5 weeks after I had her and it lasted a normal 7 days. I got on the pill and I haven't had one since. Is this normal or is just because I'm still breastfeeding or b/c of the pill?

My 3 1/2 month old absolutely hates tummy time and thus, doesn't get to work her arms, chest and neck muscles much. I've tried toys, playing with her and putting her on my chest, but she still continues to cry face down and refuses to lift her head. Should I be worried?

have been breastfeeding my baby boy into e 7th mth now..

had fever on sat nite, just recovered...

he actually rejected my breast (ate instant rice cereal), but relented 10hrs ltr back home nursed to sleep..
which left me totally engorged on both breasts (being outside w/o a pump).
e next day, he nursed a little both sides, he seems to nurse only -5mins each feeding every 2hrs.. my breasts feels saggy & empty all day!
he seems to reject me esp when we were outside (agn tdy). no choice fed him w instant rice cereal even when he had it for dinner 3hrs ago..

is there a possibility of my body unable to produce enough milk to keep up his appetite?

is it a indication that i should switch to formular & solids? already feeding him instant rice cereal for dinner, will do lunch soon..

PS: after breastfeeding, breast would shrink & sag tremendously? anybody tried & tested any bust firming treatments? whats e price & sessions completed? is it advisable? any recommendations?

My breast-fed baby won't sleep for longer than 2 hours. He is a healthy weight (over 17lbs) and the health visitor suggested starting weaning him as he's showing all the signs of needing more than milk. I give him about 100mls breastmilk mixed with baby rice in the evening, but it hasn't helped. He usually won't finish all of it. Should I feed him some during the day too? Also, when he wakes up, I try to comfort him, and he falls asleep in my arms, then when I put him down he wakes up again, and then won't settle until I've fed him. That's sometimes 1/2 hour after he last did it! He has never been a good sleeper and the best it has ever been is 2 weeks over Christmas when he slept at midnight and woke at 4 then 8. That was manageable but this is seriously making me down, I feel so useless and tired. Please help!!! Do I need to be more fascist!?
