You can make rice to soft by over cooking it. If you cook it to long it will turn to mush.

Add extra water when cooking it. If it's already cooked, add about two tablespoons of water to the rice, cover it with plastic wrap and microwave the bowl for about one minute.

hmmm, by posting your qns here, i believe you're trying to cook porridge / congee to your baby??

erm, 1 cup rice to double e water you use to cook rice in a regular pot, you get porridge..

when boiled, keep stirring with some strength till it turns soft & sticky...

yummy, so good it taste good on its own!

Use more water than is called for, and cook it longer than is called for.

It'll make it mush.
