I went through the same thing. Its tough to see them in that condition. I wish I could snap my fingers and make it go away. Do not give her OTC medications. she is tooo young and studies prove it is not effective. They are a waste of money. Kids having cold is just a fact of life. They will catch on average 12 per year. If she does not have a fever then maybe the dr. can sugges something. Here is what I reccomend you can give her:
1. Love
2. Kisses
3. Hugs
4. I'm sorry you are not feeling well
5. Buy a humidier
6. Vicks vaporizer
7. Stay in steamy room for 15 minutes. Use this time to feed.
8. Suction bulb and some saline drops for her nose
9. Breast milk if you are breast feeding.

Being that young I would definitely consult a pediatrician, you can usually just give the office a call and they will let you know over the phone. But I wouldn't give her anything because there's nothing out there that is going to make the cold go away any faster (not for her age anyways), and it usually just makes the child feel worse. They did a study on giving children cold medicines and it proved that it did worse than it does good. Try putting a cold mist humidifier in her room or the room she is in, and get a bulb syringe to help suck out some of the congestion from her nose so she is able to breath, especially before feeding. The nurse of doc. may suggest using some saline nose drops to loosen it up some also, but don't use it untill you ask.

please don't give your baby drugs- this is a bad bad start for an infant.
Make the room comfortable, a humidifier is good and breast milk is excellent- you need to allow her body to strenghthen its immune system- giving her any drugs right now just hinders that and you are asking for more sickness down the road.
There are a lot of homeopathic and herbal remedies out there but you do need to consult with a pediatrician or the company to make sure that some of these can be taken at 2 months and what the right dosing would be.
Depending on your doctor you might be told that these things are not effective- but the drug companies want you to sepnd your money there and doctors are on that bandwagon.
These remedies will not cure the cold but WILL help her to build up her immune system and fight it off faster.
Go to your local health food store and ask. I have not had to use things like echinacea, comfrey, licorice root or the Hyland's homeopathics for anyone that young so I don't know the dosing or what things should not be used- they should be able to help you though.
If nothing else- don't start antibiotics unless nothing else is working or there are other problems and DONT give her tylenol or any of that other junk that is just not good for the body no matter how young or old.

It is so hard when they are that young and sick. My 4 month old just got over a cold. Here is what I did to help her feel better
-Used a nasal aspirator and saline twice a day to clear out her nose to make her a little more comfortable. (You can use the saline as often as you need to. It helps to let that mucus run down and not clog up their nose so much.
-Run a cool mist humidifier
-Your baby might be uncomfortable to sleep flat with a stuffy nose. Our pediatrician recommend letting her sleep in her car seat.
-My daughter seemed to feel a little better after a warm bath
-Lots of extra cuddles
-If your baby has any type of fever you need to contact a pediatrician in my daughters case her cold turned into an ear infection!
Hope this helps!

Two months old is too young to do over the counter. See the doctor. I would make sure there is a humidifier in the baby's room.

my daughter got a cold when she was that age and the doctor said there's nothing you can do but keep her nose suctioned out. said not to give her cough medicine b/c it's good for them to cough so they can breathe when their nose is stuffed up. it's horrible but it will get better i promise!

breastmilk is the best thing. But with any child sick that young you should call your pediatrician, or a nurse or something. She's to young to be sick.

Try running the humidifier. I'm sure you have been advised of all kinds of medications to try. I say just hold them as much as possible and cuddle til better.
