A couple of weeks ago she had x-rays, which were helpful, as she was not having reflux at the time. I did find out, however, that she has a slow esophagus, too. Just this week, the doctor increased her Zantac (to correspond with her weight gain) and has me mixing cereal in her bottle (to help keep it down). Nevertheless, she's still clearly uncomfortable, crying, spitting up, having violent episodes of hiccups, etc. I've pretty much given up on breastfeeding because I'm no longer producing milk since I am not eating, drinking, or sleeping. She is also not sleeping; I'm lucky if she gets 8 hours total in a 24 hour period. The other day, she was up from 11:30 in the morning until 4:30 the next morning, crying the whole time. The only way to quiet her is to give her a bottle, which she sucks and chews on (but doesn't eat). I am going back to work in less than 2 weeks, and I was hoping she'd be feeling better by then. What can I do to make this more bearable for both of us?

I am interested in learning more about the contents of bottled water
because I am concerned about flouride for my infant son. http://www.ada.org/public/topics/fluoride/infantsformula_faq.asp#10

The internet has no reliable info on the contents of bottled water. Can you provide me with info about the best bottled purified water that has the least impurities?

Our baby has acid reflux, our doc put him on Regulan, Zantac, and told us to mix rice cereal in with the formula. Only problem is the combination of rice and regulan puts him to sleep, and we have a hard time keeping him awake long enough to feed. The doc said to lower the room temp a few degrees and we "just have to teach him to eat". We do tapping, talking, rubbing, ect. nothing keeps him awake for more then a few seconds. Any other ideas?

Okay, so practically every day, I end up getting sick to my stomach. I feel like I'm going to spew everywhere, and by the time i make it to the bathroom, I gag a few good times, and then I throw up some clear, sour tasting liquid. I'm sure it's stomach acid or something, but I'm not sure what's causing it. It usually happens when I eat chocolate, but it happened again this morning and all I had was a little bit of oatmeal and some graham crackers. What do you think is causing this??

Do you think this is to high and he might need light therpy? Doc claims if it was a 20 or higher he would be worried that seems way to high. I hear 13 is even considered very high. So which is it?
I am worried cause my 1st borns was a 13 but they said he needed no treatment.

My 4 month old has been showing signs of teething since 3 months. You can even see the two bottom teeth under her gums. This last weekend she has become very irrtiable, and is nawing on everything. I've been rubbing baby teething gel on her gums which seems to relieve her somewhat. How long does it usually take for the teeth to push through?

My son has been advanced as far as his physical abilities, as well as his motor skills. According to the other posts that I have read there are signs. He scores 8/10 on the scores. For example, when he's done playing with a toy or when he's ready to sleep for the night he will clean up his toys and put them back in his toy box. He also will not wear a diaper that is slightly wet, because he has mastered the art of taking off his clothes. I know that there are a lot of people against potty training, but when you wake up and your son has taken off his dirty diaper and tried to hide it from you, that should definately be worth something. I am concerned that if he is ready and capable to do so and I do not show him that it might slow his development down. He's been waking since he was 8 1/2 months old. I am just curious to people's opinions.

If i cant this really upsets me because i searched for cribs for a long time and all the ones with bars in the back i didnt like.. i really like the solid back alot better and i think it looks nicer. My baby was born a day after my due date, a perfect baby of 6,13 pounds and 49cms. I am just wondering if it is possible that i became pregnant earlier that thought even though the Drs have stuck to the same due date all through the pregnancy? I mean, is it possible i became pregnant amonth earlier so she was now born 4 weeks after the original due date or can i trust that she was on time ? She is not skinny and she still had some vernix on her body when born.

her onto her back when I see she has rolled. She wakes up when I roll her over and I can't sleep becasue I am constantly checking to make sure she hasn't gone on her stomach. Do I need to relax and let her sleep how she's comfortable? Another thing, my daughter loves blankets and she sleeps so much better when she has one to hold. I try to make sure that they are breathable and tuck them into the sides of the crib. My mother in law told me last night that at this point if she can't breathe she will move. Do you think that's true? My in laws watch her alot and don't take me seriously, so when I come home often she has a blanket loose in the crib.

My 13 month old is from a previous relationship. But I am 4 months pregnant by him! He says that it was a mistake and that he really wants things to work out! He did move 300 miles to be with me! He said that he did it because he was "unsure about his move, and a little insecure about my getting back with my first baby's father!" This cheating episode just happened in January on a trip to "see his child" and they were intimate about 3 times during that week! One time is a mistake, but 3 times is ridiculous! Meanwhile, he revealed that he had been telling his baby's mother that things could possibly work out btw them! If this had happened to me b4 I would have given him the boot... But I have a 13 month old that I take care of alone bcuz her dad is incarcerated! It would be very difficult to raise an 18 month old (the age of my baby at the time of birth of the one I'm carrying) and a newborn alone! Hell its hard taking care of a 13 month old alone!
What steps should I take?

My little baby girl is growing up, I was okay with the fact that my son was growing up, but my little girl..it kills me, how do I deal with that fact that I will not be able to hold her like a baby. She is already in a older mindframe wanting to do everything herself. What can I do?

We have a 6 week old newborn and he will not go to sleep on his own. If he lays down he'll only sleep for 30 min max after being fed and rocked. We tried to let him cry himself to sleep but he would not stop even after an hour. After we picked him back up, he was sweating bad from whaling so hard. Anything else we could do? Anybody who's had this problem have any alternatives?
