Ask your doctor if you can use Benefiber. It's tasteless and you can mix it in a drink or sprinkle on food. It usually does the trick!

The baby is growing blocking things off- it's a pretty common and unpleasant part of late pregnancy for some women. I agree with the other poster who said not to try anything without consulting your doctor first, and you should definitely mention this to your physician.
There is no harm in eating fiberous foods and things like prunes and raisins, which may help, but definitely ask your doctor for somthing that might provide relief before accepting advice from random folks online.
Congratulations on your impending parenthood- best of luck to all of you. In my last month of pregnancy with my first child he moved and pinched a nerve- I had to use a cane for my last week of pregnancy! Having that growing human in there pressing against things can cause some unexpected problems, but it doesn't last forever (It just seems like it when you're going through it!)

The best thing that you can do is talk to your doctor about this problem. Two things that you can definitely do without any harm to your baby is to drink LOTS of water and eat your fresh fruits and veggies along with high fiber foods. There should be a stool softener that is okay for you to take and if you ask your doctor they should be able to tell you what ones are okay and what ones aren't. Hope this helps, best of luck.

Fiber, more water, and glycerin suppositores. Glycerin suppositories work fast and very little enters the blood stream.
But they are for short term, the fiber and the water are to help over the long term.

You definatley need to talk to your Dr...I was told to help with constipation is to get more fobre in your diet...if you can't do that...then take some metamucil. It comes in pill form now so that its way easier to take than the drink.

Speak to your OB.. please do not take medical advice from folks on here.. every situation is too different and you are too far along in your pregnancy to mess with your body now.. Until you see the OB take a fiber pill and add more fiber to your diet to see if that will relieve your problem

YOu can ring up your drug store /pharmacy and ask is there anything to relieve this constipation , you're 8months preggers......drink 4oz prune juice in the morning everyday..softens your stool..and helps regulate...drink plenty of water* eat fruits and veggies more* All these are natural ways to help you out* But if you're wanting super fast relief* I would call your pharmacist and ask what he would recommend.*GOODLUCK* and Best Wishes*

you can try castor oil but a little bit because too much can provoque false labor, mild contractions, but that will help, or drink some prune juice, that is safer.
