I am interested in learning more about the contents of bottled water
because I am concerned about flouride for my infant son. http://www.ada.org/public/topics/fluoride/infantsformula_faq.asp#10
The internet has no reliable info on the contents of bottled water. Can you provide me with info about the best bottled purified water that has the least impurities?

I mean the least harmful substances...
here is exert from consumer reports article..
While bottled-water companies must hew to rules for sanitary production, some standards for bottled water are stricter than for tap, such as those for fluoride and lead. But some are not. Bottled-water companies aren't required to disinfect or test for parasites such as Cryptosporidium or Giardia--a requirement for city tap water. Again, the FDA says that the sources of bottled water are unlikely to harbor the parasites.
For most people bottled water is safe if it meets FDA standards. Our report in August 2000, which tested and analyzed major brands for contaminants, revealed few worrisome results. Here's what we found then:
Arsenic (a poison).
Trihalomethanes (suspected carcinogens). Plastic components

Distilled water that's what my doctor and my sister, a mother of 4, told me to use. Just regular brand distilled water there is not an infant brand distilled water to my knowledge and nursery water for infants has flouride in it.

Don't stress yourself over what kind of bottled water to give your infant. Use BOILED tap water. It removes all of the impurities and makes it safe for the child. Although when the child gets a little older he will require flouride in his diet, at this point talk to your pediatrician as to the best way to provide that for your son. Your best bet is not to rely on "safe" bottled water for your infant because the reality is, nobody knows what is in the water you are using other than the company, so stick to what is safe and boil your tap water. I don't know how old your infant is, but I am just assuming that you are wondering about the type of water to use to mix with formula?

Bottled water costs a lot and comes from the rivers etc your tap water comes from. They found that bottled water that said come from springs actually come from a river. Use your own tap water boil it for 5 mins, its healthier and better. When your city water doesnt pass government mandates you get a notice within a couple months, so you know exactly how good or bad your water is, by boiling it for 5 mins you get rid of anything in it thats bad.

I just visited my doctor last week she said that if we gave our son bottled type water it needed to be nursery water with added fluoride for healthy bones and if he doesen't get fluoride he might not get the enamel needed to protect his teeth.
but I did find a natural flouride water called absopure which is what i give my son .

Actually they recommend that you don't buy bottled water for infants. It is best to give them tap. However if you are set on bottled water make sure that you get one that contains fluoride it is important for there teeth development.
Also make sure not to give them to much plain water it can cause them to have seisures due to drop of sodium. This can cause seizures for life, brain damage, and even death. I know because my little girl got air flighted after her sodium levels dropped to fast she is doing well and we are not expecting long term damage.

Why are you giving water to your infant? They don't need it. Babies have small stomachs that fill easily, and if you fill them up on water, they'll refuse their feedings - which is where ALL their fluid and nutritional needs are met.
If you're concerned about flouride, your pediatrician can prescribe flouride drops for you son - they're called "Louride" and don't have any nasty taste or funky additives. You give a small amount once a day.
