I work in daycare and work with toddlers i really enjoy it but i have now been asked by my boss to be a babyroom supervisor, but i really dont like working with little babies i prefere older children.

moving to the baby room means that i will be making more money as i will be a supervisor, whereas in the toddler room i am just an assistant! i dont know what to do? should i stay in the room i like or move to a room and try to adjust to it?

Hi, I'm thinking of maybe switcing my baby's formula from Similac Advance to Parent's Choice, but am a little hesitant. I've given her the Similac Advance from day 1 and am wondering if the Parent's Choice is as good for her as the Similac. The Parent's Choice costs alot less, it's only $11 a can for the powdered as opposed to the $20 a can for the Similac. The savings would help so much, but not if I would be depriving my daughter of any vitamins or nutrients essential to my daughter's health. I've compared labels of both cans and the Parent's Choice with Lipids and Iron is very similar to the Similac Advance with Iron. Would like to get some opinions from any of you moms who have given your babies the Paent's Choice brand. Did your babies take to it right away or have any problems with it at all? O and please don't say get WIC, I already tried that, but didn't qualify, thanks.

We swaddle our baby in a Miracle Blanket overnight. The instructions say not to swaddle the baby for more than 8 hours straight. Why? Our baby would be comfortable sleeping overnight and for 12 hours straight swaddled, but wakes up when unswaddled. Is it safe to swaddle for more than 8 hours?

Why do parents these days tend to rush solids? Whats wrong with waiting until the child is eager and reaching for food?

Okay, we ALL know "breast is best!!" but why do you b/feeding mom's insist on getting all up in everyone's questions about formula or bottle feeding? I know I'm opening myself up for some nasty answers...I expect nothing less from SOME of you(note, I said SOME). Mom's come here to ask serious questions and if you don't have experience with the subject or a real answer...don't answer! Is that really difficult? I breastfed and formula fed and I would never answer a formula question with insults or judgment. Every single one of us is just trying to survive and make the correct decision for OUR families. What's wrong with that?

My son is 9 months old, (he has been around 25lbs since he was 6 months old) and I'm a little bit worried because he's not crawling, or even able to pull himself up to a sitting position yet. If I sit him down he can stay there by himself, but if he falls down then he is unable to pull himself up. I try and help him to crawl by putting him on his tummy, but as soon as he is on his tummy he rolls right over onto his back (he's hated being on his tummy since he was born). Are there some things that I can do to help him? I should say that I have talked to the doctor, and he's not worried because otherwise he is developing well (he has 4 teeth, babbles alot, is using his pincer grasp etc...) What kinds of things did you do to help your babies? Could it be because he has been so big ever since he was born?
