Accept all offers of hand-me-downs from friends & family. It might take a little time to weed out the stained up stuff, but when you're done with them, the ones your baby uses will look just like that, too! Buy just a few really cutesy outfits new for each size and/or season, and save money on the basics by utilizing the free stuff!

Target is my favorite place to shop for brand-new baby clothing. Seems to be slightly better-made than the stuff at W-M, although I bought from them, too. I don't like to spend about $10-15 for an entire outfit. Just not worth it, the way babies go through clothes!

Congratulations, and best of luck!

I do most of my shopping at Wal-Mart. They have so many cute knit outfits that are comfortable and very inexpensive. Babies grow so fast (and I'm so cheap) that I couldn't stand to spend a ton of money on outfits that would be worn just a few times.

I also shop at consignment stores. Most will price all garments the same, regardless of brand. You will need to know your clothing brands, but I have found Tommy Hilfiger and Polo baby clothes for $3-4 and in perfect condition.

I have a friend who has bought unbelievably cute clothes from eBay without paying much. That's not really my thing, but you might find it works well for you.

Baby clothes are everywhere, but don't go to all the designer stores and get expensive baby clothes because it won't take long for her to grow out of them!

I like Walmart or Old Navy, they usually have really good deals and good stuff! Once in a while I see something on sale at Babies R Us or Roots and snag it... but for the most part, just buy whatever you can afford because babies outgrown things so fast!!

I like Target. The clothes are cute and you don't spend an arm & leg on something they're only going to wear a few times.

When my children were that age I really enjoyed shopping at Baby Gap, Gymboree, Carter's, and Osh Kosh B'Gosh.
