Our 11 week old puts herself to sleep great at night. We don't have to do anything to get her to go to sleep except play a little music.
But during the day, she fights sleep very hard and cries hysterically. If I cuddle/soothe her, she falls asleep. But I'm not sure if we're developing bad habits? Should we let her cry or soothe her?
11 weeks seems too young to me to be "letting her cry it out."

He was sick with a bad cough with phlegm and an ear infection. He is still recovering from being sick. And ever since he was sick he does this weird jerking movement, like when he is in his exersaucer, he jerks his body back, and same when I hold him, its like he jerks his body and head backwards, he never wants to sit and he's ok when i stand him up but he does that weird jerking thing. Is this normal for babies to do or is this a sign of illness or condition?

And please do not answer me with things like "Ask your doctor" or "Get off Y!A and ask your doctor" because I already plan on doing that, I just want other parents opinions on this if it ever happened to them. Thanks.

I'm a little nervous. He went for his well check and he is doing well with everything else. Except rolling I put him on his belly and after about 5 min. he starts crying. He hates it. I have been trying to show him how to roll by putting him on his belly and gently pushing him. Still nothing should I be worried?

I've been trying to potty train her since she was 2! She still has 0 interest in the potty. We've been to the doctor, there's nothing medically wrong with her. I've even tried taking the diapers away. Eventually, I got fed up with cleaning her and the floor and the furniture up constantly and not being able to take her anywhere and gave back her diapers. I'm not talking 3 days no diapers, it was a month!
When we try to train her, she gets so upset, cries, and begs me not to make her use the potty. She's not afraid of it, just doesn't want to use it.

im 2 months late I took a test and it said negative so im starting to think the test was a liar, I have sore breast's, anyways, me and the guy broke up and If I am pregnant I dont want him to know so Im not going to tell him because He's controlling and I would hate to have a child be raised by him, im not so sure what to do as I am only 18 year's old, Abortion is out of the question the baby did nothing wrong, my parents have been trying to have another baby for years and she just couldnt get pregnant again, Ive had this idea to if I am pregnant to let theme adopt my baby I would know he/she was safe and being taking care of the way he/she should be taking care of, Do I sound wrong for this? what would you do?

Gretel. I think it's cute and any "Where's Hansel?, want to come to my gingerbread house?" Teasing would stop after elementary school. I think it's a strong name, the little Gretel in the story was pretty brave and I just like the name.
Opinions?

my kids aged 11 and 13 CONSTANTLY fight and argue with each other, they give attitude when asked to do the simplest of chores, my daughter does not turn her assignments in on time at school, my son disrespects all authority, even as I am typing this they are screaming at each other, the screaming almost always turns to physical aggression that I have to intervene in, at this point, I have told them that the only things they will get for christmas is new socks and underwear, and a new outfit to wear christmas day, has anyone else ever taken such severe action towards their children, and if so, what affect did it have.

Is it based off of the male's genetics or the females??
For example, if a guy tends to have a lot of women in his family and not many males... if he produces a baby with a woman who has a lot of males in her family, and not a lot of females... is the unborn baby most likely going to be female?

Im just trying to understand what influences the chances of having a girl vs a boy..?

sorry is this sounds confusing, any information will be appreciated ~ thanks!

he is the most stubborn kid alive i swear, if you don’t give him what he wants he pinches, screams, bites, punches, kicks, BANGS HIS HEAD ON THE WALL AND/OR GROUND etc.

I need some advice on how to control him and make him eat things besides hot dogs, macaroni and spaghetti
I need him to eat things like soup I blend it and make it good unless he is REALLY distracted he doesn’t eat it or in terrible force

so can somebody give me some advice on a peaceful solution!

i was looking forward to my first prenatal visit at 10 weeks pregnant and was disappointed at how it turned out. my midwife was quick and impersonal. she checked my breasts, allowed me to hear the heart beat and asked whether i was taking prenatal vitamins. within minutes the visit was over. i felt that she didnt take the time to provide me information, this being my first pregnancy, nor did she ask me if i had any questions. i was wondering if this is normal, if this is standard procedure or whether i should look elsewhere where i feel comfortable. i was also considering the option of a doctor and wondering what others thought of midwife vs. doctor. thanks

I want to try and bring back my milk but I dont know how and want to know if there are any supplements i could possibly take to restart my production. I pumped my breasts for about two weeks after the birth of my baby but got discouraged as i felt it was too difficult. I couldnt get my baby to latch on correctly so i just gave up. Now, i regret that i stopped doing either one. Is there anything i can do?
