what exactly does this mean to me?? they want me to go back in on friday for another blood test (will be 18 dpo)...i know that the hcg #'s are supposed to double every 48-72 hours...can anybody help point me in a good direction for researching this...just wondering if there is anything that i should be overly concerned about or if i'm making a mountain out of a molehill...

Although a bit low, the HcG levels are within normal range - see link below for more info on HcG levels. It is possible that implantation happened later than the average.

The test in couple of more days will tell you how rapidly the numbers are going up. The rate of doubling varies from person to person, pregnancy to pregnancy, and even week by week in the same pregnancy, so don't worry about rate of doubling (as long as it is going up).

Yes hcg is supposed to double every couple days but the numbers are just a guideline like weight. As long as the numbers keep going up then you have a viable pregnancy. that's why they are checking every couple days. if the numbers stay too low and don't go up or if they drop rapidly it means you lost the fetus.
i had 4 misscariages last year so i had alot of hcg tests.
