Got a lot of rough answers because I didn't think Christian was an appropriate name for my grandson ... but it's okay, really, I am over it! I am going to love this child whatever they name him ... but they are having trouble with a middle name. Just thought I would throw this out there and see what you thought. My Dad's middle name is Jay, my brother's name is Jay. My Dad's Dad's middle name was Jennings but everyone called him Jay. I was thinking to honor my father (my parents actually raised my son) it would be cool to name the baby, Christian Jennings ... last name is Newman. I have not approached my son about this at all ... I want them to make their own decisions. I am just home from work and thinking too much! What do you think about the name ... or any other suggestions?

I was going to try when I had our son by they ended up inducing me and those Pitocin contractions were too much so by the time I reached 6 cm I opted for the epidural.
I'm 36 weeks pregnant now with our second baby and I'm considering trying it (assuming they don't induce me) without medication...
I don't know what natural contractions feel like (since they were induced contractions w/ my 1st) so IF I can handle them I might try to go all the way through w/out the epidural.
Ladies, if you've given birth naturally without medication of any kind... HONESTLY... how would you describe the feeling of it when the baby passes through the birth canal? And what advice would you give someone like me considering trying not to use medication?
Thanks a lot....

My baby girl is eleven days old and eating every hour and a half to two hours. She eats 3-4 ounces at a time and it seems she's never satisfied. Its been suggested I should start giving her a little cereal with her formula. Any one had the same problem or have any ideas or opinions?

I'm 30 weeks pregnant. The past few days I feel a tightening sensation in my stomach. It's not painful and it doesn't last long or happen on a regular basis. This is my first baby so I'm not sure if I'm having Braxton Hicks contractions or not. Do they make your stomach feel tight?

Sorry, TMI - very little poop came out during one time he tried to go. Very thick. He keeps grunting and trying to go throughout the day, but no bowel movement. Constipated? What can I do to help him? Is he too young for diluted Prune Juice? and if not, how much can i give him?

I do not understand why someone would pay $19.50 on ebay for $20 worth of coupons. I have alot of coupons so I figured I might could get half of what they are worth, but if you are going to pay the same amount as the coupon, why not just go ahead and pay full price?

I have been trying to find some form of discipline for my daughter when she misbehaves but I don't think she understands the concept of timeout. Also, should I put her in timeout for a tantrum? (i.e stomping her feet, and screaming)

I can't believe that I am even writing this, I guess it is a way for me to unload because I feel guilty and stressed at the same time. Yesterday there was a horrible snow storm in my area with whiteout conditions and slippery roads due to freezing rain. I think we got almost 20cm of snow in a 24hr period. So the buses were cancelled. I called into work (I'm a teacher - and yes I have an entire class show up even on snow days!). My Principal was great about the fact that I wasn't coming in and I submitted my day plan via email. So...I called school at the end of the day and I only had two kids show up! I couldn't believe it as I usually have all of them there.

Anyways I woke up this morning and buses were cancelled again!! Today, there weren't snow squalls blowing by my window. So, I ventured out and turned around as the road were glare ice. Why do I feel guilty when I made the choice not to go in to work for the safety of my baby? I usually make it in on all snow days!

All of the adults that I know with children that smoke Marijuana do not hide it from their children. Infact, my husband grew up with parents who smoke and still do and my husband smokes as well. I don't feel there is anything wrong with Marijuana, I just don't do it.

It concerns me that almost every adult I know who does use the drug, their children know too. Is there any way to really hide the use of Marijuana from your kids?

We are expecting a baby boy in March 2008. We thought we were decided on his name, but our parents are not fond of it at ALL. So, we are entertaining ideas again. His middle name will be Ray (after his daddy), but we want something unique, not crazy, but still something that isn't on the most popular name lists. Matthew, Blake, Nathan, Jarrett, Jalin, and Trent are out of the question for various reasons. Any ideas would be great! Oh yeah, his last name is Jefferson...so let's make sure the name goes together!

I'm 18 weeks pregnant. I know people say it feels like bubbles in you tummy when the baby moves but I have not felt that. For the past 2 days I will get mild cramps (about 2-3 a day) and when I put my hand on it I can feel a bump. Kind of like a potato. It only stays for about 5-10 seconds then it is gone. What is this? Is it the baby?

i asked a question on here yesterday and most people
said do go to the doctor, so i did ....
and they said my cervix is thinning, which is the step
before dialation.... of course...

ive already had preterm labor issues
w/ my pregnancy in the past
and i know if she's born now then she will live...

i was just wondering when i should expect labor
being this far effaced, and having past problems...
and how long any one else went after their cervix
started to thin out....

also- should my doctor have put me on bedrest?
my doctor is rude and i wanted to change,
but no one will take me now...
it doesn't seem like he cares to much...
so should i put myself on bedrest?

and also should i not have sex either?
will it cause problems??

thank you all in advance...
