Last night my 2 1/2 year old daughter was jumping back and forth from the couch to the laundry basket (it was empty and she was crawling around in it with her blanket) when she suddenly screamed at the top of her lungs. I turned around and grabbed her and when she calmed down she stated that she had hit her privates on the edge of the hamper. I went and looked and her labia was very red and so was her buttock on that side. She had no bleeding and everything seemed "in tact". She calmed down and went to bed. This AM when I was holding her in my lap and putting her jacket on she was scooting around uncomfortably and said "my private hurts". Should I take her in to make sure she is ok. I dont want to put her through an unnecessary exam "down there" but I want to know that all is well. Any advice will be appreciated. (I am a first time mom so sorry if this seems paranoid!)

My 4 year old adopted son has recently had two incidences where he has said he is hungry, and then about 5 minutes later or less, he has 'blacked out' and almost fainted.

We are not letting him get too hungry and he eats good meals and snacks. It is real scary to see him just stagger and then fall to the floor and say he's so hungry.
We get him food right away and hes seemingly fine immediatley after eating.

My wife and I are now closely monitoring him and keeping boxes of cookies and crackers and snacks with us at all times so he can eat on demand. His Dr. has also carried out blood work which will be back with results within the week.

Our poor baby, its so worrying and I wondered if anyone else has experienced this or may have any advice about what this could be or anything we could do to ensure he never gets like this.

This has been the norm throughout history but you don't hear about it much anymore, at least not in this country (the US). I don't have any kids by the way, I am just curious as to what you think or if you know of anyone in the west that has done this at all.

she doesnt want to eat or anything, she just lays there, writing something on a piece of paper, and her whole room is full of papers, and i have no idea what to do, i also hear her singing really loud late at night

i dont know what to do, or what is going on, she is quite a perfectionist and keeps everything in order, she's only 15

my 2.5 year old has been is speech therapy for about 3 months for low muscle tone of his mouth. I wonder if he has apraxia but his st said he is to young to dx with apraxia. He has one major sympton like saying a word and then not saying it for while, then it may pop out again. He also still drools, esp when he is concentrating on something, can't blow bubbles yet or pucker very good but he is making wonderful progress.

My son ate baby squash for 4 days. 2 of the days he had pretty runny poop the other 2 were normal. Do you think this could be some sort of allergy. I am really hoping that it was just a coincidience (sorry cant spell that) b/c he loved it sooo much. He didnt have any tummy pain it was just really really runny. I was going to go a 5th day but he loves it so much he wanted to eat the rest of the pack on the 4th day. I had to let him have it.

PLEASE Don't be mean to me! I just reall want your help! I just tried a new hair color and thats whats in the pics but what should I do with my make-up colors and all whatever just help please! i know that these pics are nothing Special but they are close in one my face I took them like just now SO PLEASE DON'T be mean just help! It is So Darn hard! I wasn't depressed at all after I had him it has been since I quite nursing him in October! I nursed him for a year and Now I feel ugly! AND it's not because my Boobs are smaller I wore a 36D before, during,nursing and Still! Just some tips would be great thank you!

When we get married, my fiance wants to legally adopt my daughter, & also so we have the same names. (She is not his child, her bio-dad has always been out of the picture, he has given up any & all legal parental rights he would have, no child support etc) Anyway, how much does this cost? Who do I need to contact at the local courthouse? Do we have to wait until we are married to change her name? If anyone has gone thru a similar situation as this, or knows anything, please help!

and she confirmed it...I'M PREGNANT!!! YAY! Ok, so that's not really a question, but I had to tell someone. Anyway, I had been TTC for 14 months after depo, had irregular periods, and was never quite sure when I ovulated until I got the Fertile-Focus Ovulation microscope and wanted to recommend it to all the ladies with questions about predicting ovulation. My 12 year old was able to skip a year, so he's in 7th grade this year. He's always got so much homework to do. He fell asleep last night at the table working on his math and he only had like 5 problems left to do. I sent him to bed then I felt sorry for him so I finished it up for him (I tried to make it look like his handwriting).
