I take care of a 3 yr old (for 2 years now) I am teaching him lot of things as you can imagine. I have thought him letters and he know them form A-Z. He does not only sing them he can also write. He can spell his name and writes it...but the problem is that when he sees any word he spells it from right to left. H e has done this so many times. Is this normal.....i'm afraid to tell his parents may be they would think that ....i think of a bad medical condition of their son.....some parents are sensitive. Both of his parents are dorctors. They haven't noticed this because they rarely sit down and play with him. Everything is a suprise to him. They love him so much though...but they have to work to pay bills and pay me.
Another thing he acts different him...nice, listening and he is so wonderful..but when parents get home he changes into a lil monster.....not a real monster..for you sensitive parents....

My friend was told at 20 weeks that she was probably having a girl and at 27 weeks they told her its a boy. My doctor said if the baby is sitting the way it should, it should be easier to tell the sex because I'm a small person. I find out the sex on the 18th but I was just wondering how many people got told the wrong sex?

Hello...I will be 15 weeks pregnant tomorrow and have gained a solid 7 pounds. I was thin before pregnancy, but have always been a big eater. I eat more now, but not that much more than I did before, so I am worried the weight is piling on too fast. Could there be something wrong? Any advice or insight?

My daughter was just potty trained and she still wears diapers to bed. Anyway, how do I get her to use the potty in walmart and places like that? Do I hold her over the potty or ? Anyone have any advice. I want her to be completely potty trained but I think public toilets are probably too big and have a lot of germs.

Andy Bathie was asked by two lesbians if he would donate his sperm so that they could have children. That would be, they assured him, the end of his parental duties. Now they have split up and he finds himself in the position of having to pay over 5,000 pounds a year towards their upbringing. One of the lesbians, who is not the children's biological mother, has no legal responsibility towards them. Yet Mr Bathie, who did this as a favour, does have. Is this not yet another flaw in the law?

I've noticed that my torso is always freezing cold and my legs aren't but then my feet are hot as heck! I would wear two jackets maybe even three (a coat, the lining and a hoodie) but still be the same as before. Is there something wrong with me?

Some things I do when I get too cold:

obviously I cant take a bath at school but when I'm at home I may run the water kinda hot and sit there for maybe an hour just so that my body isn't always cold

Have as many layers on as possible

but these either work for a little while or don't work at all...

ok i think putting leashes on kids is degrating and treating them like a dog. i would never do it but my husband thinks it's ok. so i got to wondering what other people think. if i see someone in walmart with them i can't help but look in amazement and to how parents belittle their kids. i get kids get lost but hold their hands or put them in a stroller or get a basket with a car attached. has anyone ever used one or would anyone use one and how would you explain it to others like me who don't understand.

If you know an 11-20+ year old with a serious attitude problem, do you think they deserve a gift for the holidays? What about parents who enable their kids to continue in their unproductive behaviors? Can't you just say, "Happy Holidays, pack your bags, you are going to military school tomorrow." If kids have NOT "been good this year," why get them anything if they haven't earned it or don't deserve it. Remember the days of getting lumps of coal and switches if you are on the naughty list? Stop baby-ing these kids and let them take some responsibility for their actions... do you think you are doing society a favor by stuffing their stocking with video games and cash? Come on... make this a holiday they will really remember.

Do you teach your toddler that it's okay to do this?

I have a son who is almost 3. Anytime someone around us has said this, I've told my son, "that's not very nice to call someone that" (and he wouldn't).
Then again, I noticed on Merry Christmas Charlie Brown they say it several times and other parents say it around their young children.

What are your thoughts?
