i was also at a restaurant eating lunch yesterday and had the worse cramp in my upper stomach right under my breasts and my stomach got hard and our waitress had to hold me up. i dont think it was a contraction since everyone says it hurts in your back and or lower abdomen.

could it be that i am stressed out? ive been stressed out because i have an uncle that i am very close to, that is very sick and is in the hospital, we just found out his liver and kidneys are bad and he needs a blood transfusion, and ive been upset about it because he is the one who is dying to meet my son before he goes if he goes. im afraid this might be the last christmas with him and im due on christmas day so im also afraid that he wont get to meet my son. =[

Honey, you're getting ready to have a baby! 1 cm or 4, you're on your way!

Of course you're going to go to the bathroom more often. It's perfectly normal and you are working the way you should. You don't want all that stuff still in there when the baby is coming out (TRUST ME!).

The baby sounds like his head is already engaged in your pelvis. It's going to hurt because you're not supposed to have this huge thing lodged in there. There's a lot of pressure everywhere now. Just take it easy, lay on your left side, and don't stress. If it hurts to walk, don't do a lot of it, or take frequent breaks. You need to get yourself ready for labor and delivery, not spend your time worrying about the pain. If you have any questions or concerns, call your doctor or midwife. They're there to help you.

I know it's easy for me to say because I'm not there going through it. You'll be fine.

What happened at the restaurant sounds like a bonafide contraction to me. It's not lower abdomen necessarily--the whole thing tightens up. I would think it's not going to be long now. Good luck to you!

It was a contraction, a braxton hicks contraction. You get them every where and they are normal.

The popping is also normal, your joins are loose from the hormones of pregnancy, your pelvis will pop like that. Its normal.

The pain in your legs and ll over are also normal as the baby sits on your sciatic nerve and since he's so low he puts a lot of pressure on all that area.

You're normal. Being very pregnant is painful and not fun at all. But its almost over.

That was definitely a contraction. Maybe a Braxton Hicks, but still a contraction. Also the closer you get to labor you may experience diarrhea. I would say everything you are going through is normal and I bet you will be seeing your little one very soon!

Well from what ur describing, the 'popping' sound in ur leg is normal. i had it all time in my 2nd preg and bloody hell does it hurt! I would turn over in bed and it would feel like i had popped my leg out of place (like in my groin area). my midwife told me this was perfectly normal. The increased bowel movements (especially near end of preg) is normal as baby is putting more pressure on everything and as you said baby is really low. And you are lucky to be one cm dialated, i didnt start dialating till labour started! Sound like everything is normal but still mention it to your midwife or doc. All the best!

well i had all those pains when i was exactly 38 weeks and i was actually in labor i went to the doctor one week earlier and i was 2 cm dialted and then when i went to the hospital i was 5cm so i cant tell you that your in labor but if the pains get worse i would go the hospital or call your docotor and i actually had my contractions in the middle of my thighs and in my lower back none in my stomach
