yes it's too much, unless you have money to burn.

Oh yeah. There are so many adorable crib sets out there that cost around $600 and are totally useless.
Consider that sheets will be changed often & that bumpers and comforters aren't even recommended to be used in the crib.
So $600 for a beatifully setup crib for the little bit of time before the baby actually uses it is definetely A LOT OF MONEY.

Do you have bills to pay or is someone paying them for you? My GOD, 600 bucks on bedding?!?! For a crib?!?! I would never even spend that on my own bedding. I would never drop 600 bucks in one day. Having children is VERY expensive...does one of you make 250,000 a year? With spending habits like that, someone needs to.
Second hand stores are amazing. You can find the clothes that someone already spent 30 bucks on for a diaper shirt from the GAP for 3 bucks...we bought everything 2nd hand for our son. His entire nursery, plus the stroller/car seat, all of his clothes for under 250 bucks.
There is no way that I am going to spend 600 bucks on my son's crib bedding...not that he isn't worth that, we just don't make a ton of money. And we know our limits and have a budget.
600 bucks?!!? I just shake my head.

It sounds like a ridiculous amount of money. Our nice new crib didnt even cost that much! We got an entire crib bedding set (bumpers, sheet, skirt, diaper bag and quilt) for about $150

Yes, especially because you will not use 90% of the package. You shouldn't use bumper pads, quilts or pillows in a baby's crib. So basically you just need the sheets out of the bedding package, the rest is just for show and is never used.

I wouldn't even spend that much for my king size bedding!
We bought some crib sheets, mom sewed a bed skirt, and we received a ton of blankets as gifts. Grand total spent? less than $50. We're happy with the results.

Yes, thats a lot of money. I spent about $200 and my husband thought that was too much. On average, baby bedding runs between $150.00 - $200.00 but you can find great deals if you go and get clearance items. It's still great quality, just maybe they are bringing in a new pattern so they want to get rid of the older ones.

Yikes, yes. I hope its custom made for that kind of money. I wouldn't spend more than $200 and that is with the additional crib sheets and what not.

yes it does sound a lot. considering it'll get weed, pooed and sicked on,its a helluva big outlay!we had all we needed(and more) for less than £100.dont waste your money on the mega expensive stuff - baby wont know the difference anyway.with the saved money you could maybe buy something a little more permanent for baby. perhaps a lovely mould of handprints or footprints to hang on the wall.it would also make visitors go all ga-ga when they see it.(rather than rolling their eyes behind your backs when they find out how much you spent on bedding!)

Ick! That's way too much. You're better off opening a bank account for your child than buying bedding that will get stained and faded. You can find bedding for a lot cheaper. The baby won't care as long as it's soft and warm.
