Walmart sells a toilet seat that you can fold up and put in a diaper bag. You simply unfold it, use it, then put it in a bad and put it back into her diaper bad, It's pretty small similiar to the seats you get for them to fit on the big toilet. Hope that helps, oh yeah, they also sell toilet seat covers in the section where you get travel items.

Buy her some pull-ups and take a potty break every few hours if possible. Don't rely on her to give you any warning when she has to go because it comes on too quickly for her to get to a toilet in time. Lots of public toilets have seat covers and should be used. If not, use TP to cover the toilet. Just sit her on the toilet and hold her to keep the balance. If it's a busy bathroom the running water in the sinks will prompt her to go.

I got the "Fisher-Price Active Gear Potty On-The-Go"
I put the whole name in so it should be eaasy to look up. I absolutely love it and it had Great reviews. It folds into an atractive bag so if you couldn't make it to your car you could toss it in the cart and take it into the store, no one will have a clue what it is. The tie up bags make it very easy to clean, and have ready for emergencies. It's good for long trips or anywhere you don't have a seat with you or are worried about the cleanliness of the stalls. It's worth taking a peek at and seeing if you'd like it. Good luck

Lots of germs for sure, but at some stores and I think Wal-Mart included have the toilet covers that fit over the potty and if there is not one then I make my own from toilet paper.

Get a portable potty seat to bring with you. They're very lightweight and fold up to about 4" long. We still bring one out for my son to use on public toilets.

I HATE public restrooms!!! when my daughter was potty trained the way i did it was just use a TON of those seat covers, and just held her while she went so she didnt have to hold on the potty.
and i dont know what it is with kids, but i swear she would want to go to EVERY public bathroom-everywhere we went. i would try to get her to go at home, so we could avoid it. same with my son as soon as he was trained he wanted to visit every single one too! thank goodness boys are soooo much easier since they can just stand---although when he was shorter i had to lift him a little :)
good luck!

It's gross, but you can always swab the seat with a sterilzing handiwipe.
Keep in mind that most of the germs are not on the seat. Several studies show that it's the floor and the handle where germs reside. And remember, urine is sterile.
That said, you still gotta get by the look and odors of the place--not easy.

Definately neat seats if they have them. If not, wrap toilet paper around the seat. Don't just place the toilet paper on the seat, it'll never stay while your juggling your kid onto the seat. Practice wrapping you home toilet seat so she can get used to it.

If you are worried about germs take wipes and wipe the seat off. At first have her scoot way back so she doesn't tinkle on her clothes. Hold her for her safety and so she isn't afraid and take her off BEFORE it flushes or you flush.
