That's wrong to shout at a child using a swear word. That's verbal abuse.
It's not good because the child could pick up on how their parents act and also what they say. It could influence the child to act that way in the future.

Of course it was wrong.

Verbally attacking a toddler like that is always wrong. But then, the baby's mother was still a child herself. What can you expect from a child rearing a child? Obviously, having a baby didn't do anything to grow her up, as it should have!

No disrespect is intended-my friend had a baby at 15, but she was far older than her years and has never once spoken to her little boy like that. He's now 10 years old and is a lovely boy! Becoming a mum grew her up overnight.
Indeed, anyone can be a good parent no matter what age they are.
So, I don't see it 100% as a her being a bad mum, but more as a cry for help to a degree?
(I know i'm bound to get a few thumbs down for that one, to put it straight, I'm not condoning her behaviour, she was certainly well wrong to scold her baby that way.)

i personally think thats disgusting, i know its hard having children and we all get frustrated at times but there is no reason to swear at any child let alone a child so young, I am only 20, which is quite young but that is no excuse for swearing at a young child and i would never do it. how is a one/two year old supposed to respond to being shouted at like that? i dont understand it. The sad thing is that that child will grow up thinking that is the way to communicate with others

YES, it is called verbal abuse..
It is not the babies fault of her bad mood and of his mommy's ignorance for not protecting her self and maybe had an unwanted baby like many other teenagers. That don't know about responsabilities and obligations and most important PROTECTION..
This is not good for any baby to be talked like that or treated like nothing.. God bless that child... Not good.. So for teenage girls out there protect yourself not only for unwanted pregnancies but for many other disease... And if you have baies love them and enjoy them they are inocent angels and it is not their fault to exist in this earth..They are here and they need love, respect and care....:) BEst wishes to all

Yes, some parents have no education these days and likewise not giving their children education and respect. This kid will probably turn into some yob in a few years time that would not surprise me. It's sad.

Of course it was wrong. Children learn from their parents. What kind of future does this child have??

I think it was. She shouldn't be using that language toward her child. Not only is it traumatic to have a parent yell at you like that, but it's teaching the child bad habits too.

some parents are like this no matter what age they are, but until your in their shoes you cant judge. i know verbal abuse to innocent children is wrong no matter what the problem is, but thats her problem and her way of dealing with the situation. nothing we say or do will change that.
