DO NOT spell it Keira, it is an Irish name and the correct spelling is Ciara! I am NOT PREGNANT just curious!!

they are not unheard of names in Ireland however they are not overly used! They are some of the most common Irish names!

They are pronoced properly in Ireland! Caramel is not used to tease people with the name Carmel!!!

I swear to God if one more person says Ciara should be spelt as Keira or else it will be said as see-ara, I don't know what I'll do. Ciara is thousands of years old! My name is Ciara and is NEVER mispronounced! This is not AMERICA I'm in, us here in Ireland actually now how to pronouce names properly!!!!!

I know Claudia isn't an Irish name but here in Ireland there's a Claudia in my class and no one sees her name as different! We call her Claud for short!!

I AM NOT PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and my name is Ciara and everybody outside Ireland pronounces it See-air-a! They also spell it Keira, both things do my head in!!!! Luckily I still live in Ireland and plan to do so for a good while yet!!

I like Ciara because it sounds like a name that rolls off the toungue. Carmel because it is a unique name that not many use; Alot of nicknames can be made with it. I also like Sarah. sarah has a way about it that sounds really pretty if the other names are as cool. Hope this was helpful!!<3

I like most of those names. Sarah is very popular here in Ireland. Every second person I know here is called Sarah. lol. Those are sensible names that never go out of fashion. I see people today especially the younger generation giving weird unusual names. I wonder what kind of nick names they will get when they start school. You can't go wrong with the list you have provided.

Please do not pick an Irish name. My name is Ciara and since I have left Ireland I am called anything but Ciara. I hate having to correct people all the time.

I like Aileen, Keira (I prefer this spelling as "Ciara" may be said as the ever-popular "see-ah-ruh"), Sarah and Niamh pronounced as "neeve", not "nee-eve".
I know you said not to change the spelling of "Ciara" but you asked for opinions and I prefer Keira :)
