I'm 18 weeks pregnant. I know people say it feels like bubbles in you tummy when the baby moves but I have not felt that. For the past 2 days I will get mild cramps (about 2-3 a day) and when I put my hand on it I can feel a bump. Kind of like a potato. It only stays for about 5-10 seconds then it is gone. What is this? Is it the baby?

Thank all of you. I asked people that I know about this and they said they never felt this and made me feel like I'm crazy.

That's the baby! It's great isn't it. I too have never felt the flutters like everyone else has been describing it. It feels like I'm having muscle spasms in my belly. I first felt my baby at 17 weeks. I'm having my ultrasound tomorrow to find out the sex. I can't wait. I wish you all the best.

Don't want to scare you or anything, but I would Go to the Dr. if the cramps are really bad because sometimes Cramps can be a sign of miscarriage. And the bump you're feeling IS the baby. Keep on feeling because as the baby develops more it will begin to move and kick around. the feeling is amazing. Good Luck to you!

I honestly do not know but I was sad that you weren't getting any answers or any support. I would call my dr. and ask what's going on. I am overweight so I don't have a "normal" pregnancy. It could be anything, the baby, early Braxton Hicks, or even gas bubbles. Hope someone can answer soon who knows because now you've got me curious. Good luck to you.

every baby's different they move when they are ready with my daugter she moved at 6mo and my son i felt him move at 3months preg the cramps you are feeling could be the streching of your uterus since it grow with your baby it can be painful especially if its your first but still mention it to your doctor and watch for spotting
