Lorelei. Keep it traditional; misspelled names are tacky.

Definitely the correct, traditional way. Lorelei is a beautiful name, and people who don't know how to pronounce it are really rather ignorant. Misspelling it looks incredibly silly. My cousin's name is spelled Laurelei. Doesn't it look just wrong? Stick with the classic, pretty spelling.

Lorelei. Loralie looks like Lora-lee, becaise -ie makes the EE sound. Lorelai looks like Lore-lay. Everyone knows that Lorelei is Lore-lie (not Lor-UH-lie), so it's fine. Changing the spelling makes it harder.

I say stick with Lorelei, and don't be hesitant to correct mispronunciation.

I agree with Lisa when she said, "misspelled names are tacky." I'll go further, intentionally mispronounced names are worse than tacky.

BTW, I think that Lorelei is a beautiful name. Then again, maybe I've been unduly influenced by Lauren Graham's character in Gilmore Girls.

I have to be honest, I've actually never heard of this name before. I'd go with Loralie. The other spellings make me want to say 'Lore' not Lora.

I'd stick with the traditional way!

So many people now know how to pronounce that name because of Gilmore Girls!

I'd rather spell it correctly and correct a pronunctiation that attempt to do it phoentically (which is just plain silly). Stick with the traditional.

Either the traditional, Lorelei, or Loralai, which is almost a bit easier to read for those who don't know the name.
