I always have this problem whenever I try discussing the next best path for our child's education. He would either immediately shoot my idea down the drain or show that he's Mr Know It All and discourage my further intervention into our child's education. He thinks I have been too overly concerned with this issue but tell me, which parent wouldn't? I feel very stressed and frustrated whenever I'm being discouraged, especially by him! I need advice badly!

My 2 year old goes to her grandparents 1 day a week whilst I do some charity work but for the past few weeks is refusing to go. I went with her today and I wonder if its possible for her to be bored there because the things they do with seem dull and they are still giving her toys that she had when she was first born?
Any ideas

My son is 14 months old and I am taking him to see Santa Claus tomorrow. He's usually really good with strangers, but I don't know how he'll react to Santa. Does any one have any ideas or suggestions so I can get a good picture?

Well I have been having contractions for a while on randomly. Now for the past 2 days I get them from 7 pm to 1 am only minutes apart but then they fade. I asked the doctor I was scheduled to meet with yesterday about it and she all she said was if it was concerning to me I could do another fetal fibronectin test. I told her I don't know if I should be concerned because this is my first and she just really didn't give me an opinion or anything. I took the test and am waiting to hear the results later today but has anyone had this happen? I don't really get the contractions as much during the day. I am only 31 weeks and 2 days so obviosly a little concerned over pre term labor. Any thoughts?

Pasted straight from a message board for someone doing a "pregnancy project." I'm sure she'd appreciate any answers.
Thanks!

how old are you?

how old were you when you got pregnant?

was it planned?

At which month count you found out you were pregnant? (first month...second month...)

When did your belly start showing? (first month... second month...)

Every when and then did you/do you see your doctor?

What were the signs of you pregnancy?

My sister has been ttc for 2 years, last week she found out she was pregnant. she went to the doc. and he confirmed with a blood test that she is pregnant, but he said he could not find any sign of a baby with an ultrasound. at first he thought she could be misscarrying, but usually hormone levels are below 60 when misscarrying, hers is 500. they are sending her for more tests saturday, but i was wandering if anyone else has heard of this or knows what could be the problem. thanks.

So my last period was on Nov 15th,it came 2 days earlier than the month before. Me and my fiance used the pull out method a few times in between Nov 1st and now,and now Ive been having some spotting in my discharge when I wipe,my breasts and nipples and very tender and enlarged, and Im extremely moody. Now,Ive had a child already,so I know these are pregnancy symptoms, but how is that possible for me to get pregnant at that time,I shouldnt have been ovulating. I should be ovulating as of yesterday, and I took an OPK yest and today and both were neg,so Im not ovulating and I should be... so this all leads to pregnancy, but how??? I know this is impossible for anyone to answer,I was just wondering if this happens often. Thanks for the help.

We were actually just going to start ttc again, because out daughter is 1 and a half, thats why we werent being careful. I will be very happy if Im pregnant,Im just looking for opinions, thanks.
And Im aware the pullout method isnt a good form of BC.

I took a test this morning and got a positve line so faint that I had to bring it to my husband to examine. He did see it, but agreed it was very faint. I will re-test in a few days. In the mean time, what are your opinions?

Recently I answered the question "What names have you chosen for your baby?" My answer was Brooklynn Elizabeth. After I gave my answer, the same person asked, "Why do people name their children after places?" She then continued to say that she was from Brooklyn and named her dog Brooklyn, but would never name a person after a place, that its tacky, etc. Personally, I would never criticize a name choice. In our situation, a really good friend of ours was killed in a car accident last January. His name is Nate, but he moved here from Brooklyn when he was 12, and ALWAYS talked about Brookly, so years ago, that became his nickname. When we found out in June that we were having a baby, we both knew we wanted to honor our friend, and immediately chose the names Nathan and Brooklynn in his honor. So, although I'm not generally sensitive to criticism, this really hurt me. Please be sensitive to other's name choices, you never know why they are choosing the name...
