Yeah when I had my 3d sonogram the place advised me to wait until i was 30 weeks to get better pics!

You'll definitely be able to make out some kind distinguishing features, but I wouldn't recommend getting it done this early. Are you sure your doctor is even going to perform the 3D scan? Usually you have to pay for that. And if you do, you should really wait until you're about 26-32 weeks. The clinic I had mine done at won't even allow you to come in before or after that time. Just because they do no measuring or anything medical, it's purely for your viewing enjoyment. And if you're going to pay roughly $200, you definitely want the best pictures possible!! Good luck.

The baby's face is formed at the end of 8 weeks you uneducated blobs. It looks more and more like a baby, and by 10 weeks it looks just like any other baby- minus the fat and deep tissue.

thats a great website, it'll show you what you're images will look like.
Its best to wait until 18-24 weeks for an ultrasound, you'll get the best picture then.

It is way too early. 12 weeks...the baby will look like a little blob.
The idea of the 3d is to do it when the baby's features are pronounced, but also when the baby isn't TOO big...a 3d makes a baby's face look deformed when it is all squished in the womb.
I'd go between 24 and 28 weeks.

I never had one but I have heard and read when we debtaed abotu havign one with our last that it is best to wait until 20-24 weeks. Baby is formed adn still small enough that you can find all of the parts.

I would wait until you are at least 30 weeks, as someone else said anything beofore that would be a waste of money.

i'm ten and a half weeks pregnant and i go in for a ultrosound on dec.6th, with my second son i had a ultrousound at 11 wks and he looks like a baby. yes you can have it done.

wait till you are at least 26 weeks.. annything before that is a waste of money, because it does not yet look like a real baby
