Even if you do everything perfect, and you have zero fertility issues, there is still only about a 25% chance that you will get pregnant in any given month.
As an example, studies have indicated that as many as 50-75% of conceptions do not result in a baby. It seems that it's frequently genetic issues.
In other words, we don't live in a perfect world. But one of the things our bodies do to help reduce the number of mutant babies is that when mutant genes concieve, the mutant zygote fails to properly implant and grow.
So not only to sperm and egg have to meet, but they have to both be "good" sperm and egg. A certain percentange of these are "mutant", and if they are what concieve, the zygote will fail to develope and therefore no pregnancy.

You can have sex everyday and get pregnant. The whole every other day thing, only really matters if the man has a low sperm count. If the man has a normal sperm count there should actually be plenty of sperm to impregnate through everyday intercourse. If you have been trying it this way though, I'd suggest switching to every other thing. It takes 48 hours for his sperm count to be all the way up again. Good Luck!

The more you have sex this actually lessens your chances. The more a man ejaculates, the less his sperm count is. My husband and I only do around the time of ovulation and a couple more times during the other weeks. Also do you know when you ovulate? Any pain or other feeling that you get that you can tell you are ovulating? Do you chart anything? Do you have a normal cycle? The only think I do is track my cm, cp, and my cycle. If you have a normal cycle you should be ovulating around the middle of your cycle, I is supposed to be between 13 - 17 days after the first day of bleeding depending on the length of your cycle! Some women know they are from sore breasts, cramps, being moody, or some other symptoms that could be pms symptoms that are in the middle of your cycle!
Good Luck and Baby Dust!!!

Even when the egg and sperm meet, there won't necessarily be a pregnancy. A normal, healthy couple has approximately a 20% chance of conception in any cycle. When you have sex and don't get pregnant (assuming you're healthy and everything is normal), it's usually because of problems with genetic abnormalities, implantation, etc. This is totally normal. Just keep trying and you should conceive sooner or later. Good luck!

Because theres NOT plenty of sperm. It takes 48-72 hours for a mans testes to replenish his sperm count after each ejaculation.
Every other, or every third day is best.

Give the man a break! He needs time to reload his swimmers. Don't do it for a few days and then buy one of those fertility things to see when you are most fertile and then have at it.
