i need a car seat that will fit in my 2 door honda civic. i was thinking of the britax marathon, but it may be too bulky. i found one manufactured my britax, the fisher price voyage convertible and it seems less bulky. which should i get??

does anyone know if a britax marathon can fit in a 2 door honda?

I can not see any valid reason for a child who is able to walk and talk, to suck a dummy - especially while out shopping ect. Do you allow your kids to do this and if so, why?

I asked in a previous post about people only wanting white babies. One of the prevailing answers is that people want a baby who looks like them. Why do adoptive parents want their baby to look like them? To be honest, I think this is a stupid answer. Other than that I really can't come up with anything else. I think this makes no difference at all in the parent adoptee relationship. What are your thoughts? For some reason I can't gather my thoughts around this so if somebody could help it would be great.

Ok. Last period started Oct 21. I started the nuvaring Oct 26. By my calculations I should have been expecting a period by Nov. 19. I didn't get one. Very minor spotting for about a day on 22. I need to mention that I did have unprotected sex before the seven days were up that you have to keep the ring in before its effective. Since last Sat, I've been really emotional/moody, bad lower back pain(likr pms but much worse) light cramping, breast tenderness and I've been throwing up which I NEVER do. I took a hpt at 5 days late and 7 days late which were both negative. Unconvinced I went to the docs yesterday and had another urine test done. Neg. She said she wouldn't worry about it. Many women have no period on bc. I thought it regulated it. She also said pregnancy is impossible due to neg test. Told me go ahead and put ring back in and if I do find out I'm preg it won't do any harm to the baby. I don't believe this. Threw up again last night after appt. What do I do? Could I be preg?

We used an day care provider who requires a 4 week notice of termination. We paid her at the start of each month. So we paid her November 1st for 4 weeks. On November 15th we gave her a 4 weeks notice of termination. She is expecting to be paid for the 4 weeks termination period starting Dec 1st.
We feel that we are entitled to pay her only uptil Dec 15th, i.e. 4 weeks since the date termination letter was given on Nov 15th.

She is dragging us to court for this.
Are we supposed to pay her for 4 weeks starting Dec 1st.

Sometimes I think that maybe I feel him but then its only when my belly feels gassy or something. I feel so bad not knowing if the feel I have is my baby or gas --- yikes!

I had a sonogram yesterday and he was moving like crazy but I didnt feel any of it.

I am a breastfeeding mom of an eight month old. He does not like solid food much yet so I know he depends a lot on my breast milk so I want to make sure he is getting enough nutrients if I do go on a diet. Are there any breast feeding moms out there with great diet routines? I know breastfeeding helps some parent lose weight but this is my second child that I have breastfed and with both losing weight was never easy.I have never been overweight but these days
I am a bit chubby and of course I know the importance of exercise but I would like tips on a great diet for nursing moms.

am looking at travel sets. I went on consumer reports and baby center. i see that in consumer reports chicco was the one brand that did excellent on the crash test and preg preggo, britax, baby trend and graco did very good on the crash protection. we are thinking of getting the chicco travel set or one of the graco travel sets. I went on baby center to look up recalled car seat. graco had a recall in sept of this year so i am a lil sketchy. its seems like chicco and baby trend are the only brands my local stores have. I was reading the reviews on chicco and some people were please and some were just upset that they paid too much and that the car seat does not fit in to a shopping cart (i think thats scary though) i would like some advice. people that have used chicco baby trend and graco what have been your experiences. what do you reccomend, tips? This past week I drank 2 margaritas and a beer and well I started cramping in my lower abdomen. There is a good chance I may be pregnant but my period isnt due until after this weekend. If I am indeed pregnant could I have harmed my potential child. Or will it be okay. What could have caused the cramping? I keep getting twinges of cramps here and there.

I need some ideas.... I started the potty training business with my daughter when she was 2 1/2. She just turned 3 on the 16th of Nov. She wants no parts of it!! She will tell me SOMETIMES after she has already gone that she needs to go! I have tried giving her rewards for going, clapping, saying yea... I have tried food coloring, turning the toliet water a different color and then when she pees in it, it changes colors. I have tried stickers. I even stuck a new toy on top of the entertainment stand and let her know that it was there and told her she can have it if she can go all day without peeing in her pants! NOTHING has worked!! My son wasnt this hard to potty train, they say girls are suppose to be easier! (Not for me) I cut back on her drinks and only give her something with meals & keep a sippy filled in the refrigator & let her have a sip if she get thrusty between meals, instead of drink the whole cup! What else can I do!!! PLEASE HELP....

my baby is 40 days old now , I found he can not hear any sound . when I open or close the door loudly , he blinks sometimes ,but no reaction sometims,when he is awake.
when I clap loudly beside his ear,, he blink sometimes,

why he doesnt response all the loudly noise,
should I do the hearring screening test for my baby ,,Baby's GP said my baby got the hearring ..she tested my baby when he is crying , then she shake the sound toy , there is sudden stop of my baby's crying , so GP said baby got hearring ability
but I am still worry about it ,be cause two of my friend's baby is more active in hearring than my baby ,, their baby can turn head when mother call them... why my baby cant .
how can I know the baby's exact hearring ability ,,

I'm having a bit of a problem. My newborn son LOVES to eat, he'll eat every half hour on average, and only one of my breasts produces milk for some strange reason! So, in other words I dont think I'm producing enough milk for his needs. I dont know for sure, but he's starting to get fussier after feeds like i'm not giving him enough or something. Should I suppliment with a bit of formula when I have no breast milk to give him? And if so, how much a day should he eat, and what kinds are the best from your past experiences?

My little 14 month old has something against veggies. She would eat ANYthing when she was getting jarred food, but now that she's getting the real stuff, she turns her nose up at anything that doesn't involve carbs. It's driving me crazy. Any tips on how I can get her to eat her veggies?

I've tried mixing them up in her food, but she still manages to pick around them. I've also tried to mix jarred veggies in with her food..that doesn't work either. She ends up refusing the whole meal if I do that. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
