Sometimes I think that maybe I feel him but then its only when my belly feels gassy or something. I feel so bad not knowing if the feel I have is my baby or gas --- yikes!

I had a sonogram yesterday and he was moving like crazy but I didnt feel any of it.

Anyone else not feel anything at 23 weeks?

Thanks for the advice with drinking certain things to get him moving. The thing is that he is moving - I saw him - I just dont feel it.

I'm 180 pounds and I have read that sometimes larger women dont feel the baby move as quickly. Do you know if there is any truth to this? I have a dr appt next week so I plan on asking.

my ob always told me to drink orange juice if the baby was too quiet. Something in it, I don't know if it's the acid or what, gets them very active. Try it, and good luck!

i just had my baby... i too was concerned when i couldn't feel my baby moving at 23 weeks... don't worry you won't feel any strong movements at this time... it would be just like bubbles or fluttering of butterfly wings feeling which will be very mild. it takes some more time to feel the movement and it also depends on your weight. lean people can feel the movement more easily.

The gassy feeling you had could be your baby... you will feel it soon.it will be very very mild in the begining. i too was worried when my friends said they had a rat moving feelin inside. The vigorous movement feeling will be there only after two or three more weeks. just watch if you have the gassy feeling at a particular time everyday.... drinking cold juice/water helps only after the baby's movement are prominent.

any more doubt let me know... i am a new mom

The gas you are feeling is probably not gas, but your baby. You should be feeling your baby kicking by this time for sure. I like to describe it like someone blowing/making bubbles in their milk with a straw and suddenly goes away (I feel my baby kicking right now!). Gas for me, feels like sharp pain that doesnt go away until I let it "go".

At 20 weeks I was able to see my baby move from the outside of my stomach. Maybe you should talk to your ob.
