Baby's move around a lot during your pregnancy and may be head down for a while, and then switch - and then switch again to transverse right before labor! There's no way to predict and each pregnancy is different.

Baby is usually head down by 28 weeks. Sometimes a little earlier or little later. Once upside down, they usually stay that way. If it's a first pregnancy baby may also "drop" lower into the pelvis like a bowling ball by 34-36 weeks. If it's not first pregnancy, baby usually won't drop until you're in labor. I just had my second baby, and I never notice her drop, but she was head down by my 30 week prenatal visit. Congrats and good luck!!

A baby can turn head down and stay there at any time during pregnancy up until (and during!) labor.

As for dropping / engagement, some babies, especially first babies, might drop many weeks before labor begins, but subsequent babies often don't drop until labor begins.

All are different but usually about week 36 they get head first. Mine was in week 34 but my sister was in week 38 so it really depend on the pregnancy.

well it depends on the baby i think....with both of my pregnancys my babys stayed in the same positin the whole time...lol they were head down in the exact same position ( the birthing position ) but just on opposite sides of my belly...lol the doctor said that must be comfortable in my belly...ha ha ithought it was funny. but from what i understand it usually happens close to, or during labor =) i hope this helped at all....good luck hun!
