Your baby isnt even 6 weeks old yet. Its normal for them to not respond to noises, their senses are over stimulated.

All newborns get hearing tests, and your GP told you they were fine.

I wouldnt worry about it too much.

All children are different and respond to differently to noises and sounds. You have a very young baby and things can change with some time. If you are still concerned about a month from now then you should request to have the child be seen by an audiologist. Honestly, most newborns can tolerate a lot of sound and many sleep through major noise. Give him some time and follow up your doctor.

IF YOU ARE CONCERNED
i would ask to take the baby to a specialist... when you are clapping your baby should have a different response not blinking only... hope everything goes well

however you should trust what your GP said if that mothers intuition doesn't kick in and tell you they are wrong

i dont think there is a problem, but you can get it checked out if you are still concerned

my baby FAILED about 2-3 of the hearing screens before he finally PASSED. he can definitely hear and reacts to sound, but until 2 weeks old when he passed i was definitely worried.
