I am 34 weeks and my baby is in the Transverse position ( sideways ) and she has been this entire time. I know she has plenty of time to move, but I am trying to get as prepared as possible in case she doesnt move. I have read that they may try an external version to turn the baby but I am concerned with the risks. what type of risk are there and is there more of a risk since I have an Anterior Placenta ( in front) ? I really dont want to have a c-section but I dont have that choice. I am really hoping she will turn on her own. I have been doing pelvic tilts and walking on all fours ect.. to turn her so hopefully that will help. I have 2 weeks until they start to plan what to do if she is still Transverse.. Any input on the risk would greatly help ! Aslo I have known a couple people who had a trasverse baby that was born with clubbed feet, so now i am also concerned about that... TIA !!

My hubby and I are expecting and we're not sure of the sex yet but we would like to think of some names. We come from a real strong Italian family and for the boy he really likes Angelo Francis DeMino. He also likes Lana DeMino but my dear aunt who's name is Lana for short passed away a while ago and can't imagine calling my daughter Lana. I really like Ariella Monet DeMino but he's afraid she'll get teased for Ariola. I can't think of any good unique yet decent names for a boy. I really like Monet for the middle girls name and Sean for the boy's middle. Can anyone give me ideas. Please no Madison's, Kayla's or Conner's. We don't like typical American Names. We really like names ending in vowels. Any ideas.

P.S. Our last name is very Italian, it's DeMino and it's pronounced Dee-mee-no.

Okay, Now I had a miscarriage back in January. But I'm due with a new baby any time now. I was wondering are labor contractions worse or the same as miscarriage contractions? I was 13 weeks when I miscarried and suffered some very severe pain. Experience only please I don't want guesses. Thanks :)

Hello, my husband and I are wanting to be foster parents and eventually adopt and my question is that we have three dogs a great dane, chihuahua, and a Pom./maltese mix, and I was wondering if they would make us get rid of them or they would be ok with having a baby in the home with three dogs. Also they said we would have to be married for 2yrs., and this August will be 2yrs and the lady said we could start doing all the paper work this Feb. and could have a child in our home by August... Has anyone else done foster care? If so could anyone give me a little more info on it? I'm really interested, and can't wait til Feb. and August of 2008!

I mean seriously! I'm 17 and that's old enough to pick out my own clothes but she's trying to make me wear this velvet blue dress that looks like it was made for a 5 year old on Thanksgiving! I really don't want to wear it and I'm actually tempted to "accidently" wash it with a sock so it can be messed up. What would you do?

My husband and I would like to adopt from Japan within the next 7 years. We want to be able to save money for the adoption, and would like any advice that people could give us regarding their adoptions and how they paid for it.

Thanks :-)

I recently learned about the idea of teaching with love and logic, and want to start parenting this way as well. My son is only 8 months old though. :D What is an appropriate age to begin, in your opinion?

I have been calling the baby Holly as she is due in December. The name has caught on with her family and I think that is what she should name her. :) She likes Avery or Riley (but is open to others). Her son is Andrew Conner.
What do you all think? Any other suggestions? Totally out are Danica (the dad likes) and Cassandra. (Please give middle name ideas too) Thanks!

Sorry to repost. I realized that there was no question in the title!

okay, so i'm on a *super* tight budget trying to save money to take time off work after the baby is born... (i only get fmla--12 wks unpaid, and i don't have sick days, Aflac, vacation, and i'm slightly over the income limits for WIC--so i don't qualify for that either).

i'm supposed to limit my sodium somewhat (which definitely makes Ramen out of the question!!).

i've only got about $25-$40 a week to spend on groceries for myself & my husband, and i'm fairly handy in the kitchen.

i need some things high in protein, especially. and things to grab for my 10 hr work days (i eat breakfast & lunch at work, usually, and a snack). also some quick & easy dinners (that can be sans veggies for the hubby).

so, got any inexpensive food ideas that are healthy for a woman almost in her 3rd trimester, and easy?

thanks a lot!!

I'm doing this for a novel, I'm asking because I want your opinions and views on this school.

It's called Academy of Champions.

They take your kid. They start school at age 5. But they must stay there until they reach legal age. They still have the K-12 grade level system

-No Summer breaks, No christmas breaks, just class on christmas and weekends.

Starts from 6:00 am to 3:00pm. Luch time is 1hr long. Recess and breaks start at noon.

They have dorms, boys and girls stay on seperate dormitory. They are not allowed to leave campus without principal approval.

They wear uniforms, every day.

Any method of rebeillion will nto be tolerated. They will spend up to 9 hours in Solitary confinement. They stay in an empty rooms in solitude. Nothing but a Bed and a desk. Write "I will be good" 150 times.

Skipping class is a detention. They must spend the whole schoo

I just want your views on this one school.

freakin punch his lights out today for no particular reason, his existence is just annoying me. I could probably sit down and find a reason but i am not, just chocking it up to pregnancy. I am just having a really bad day for no apparent reason and i just want to crawl under my desk and cry. My poor hubby is catching the brunt of it because he is the only person i can yell at. ANY OTHER PREGNANT LADIES HAVING A BAD DAY AND WANT TO VENT?

my lovely 3 month old is awaking at around 3am each night.. at this time I change his nappy and then feed him but then he stays awake for a good hour or so after this.. its exhausting us all.. he doesnt like drinking much during the day. he's bottle fed so I know he used to drink more -- possibly he's just too curious with his surroundings at the moment?? . he's a happy lil soul though so at least he's not grumpy.. what can I do to make my nights better.. I'm getting bushwacked.

Help! Trying to decide on which bottles to buy...

(Ok, and before anyone starts to lecture me on breast feeding ~ I know, and I'm not able to do so.)

I currently have Avent bottles and I hate them. They leak constantly and I'm tired of wrestling with them!

I'm interested in the Playtex Ventair bottles but not sure if they work well to mix powdered formula or if I used pre-mixed formula can put them in a bowl of hot water to warm it (not sure how that disk thing in the bottom works).

I'm also looking at the Playtex Drop-Ins system but have the same concerns with those!

I'm open to any other suggestions too!

Thanks in advance for your advice.

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and my Dr. has diagnosed me with high blood pressure. I have had a history of anxiety and panic attacks in the past, but never a problem with blood pressure. My main concern is that I have at home BP monitor and my blood pressure is fine at home, at the family dr, and everywhere else I go. I've tried to tell my Dr. that I have normal readings everywhere but her office but she seems to ignore that and has put me on BP medication. HAs anyone else ever dealt with this and what did you do? I've really been considering going back to the midwife that delivered my first child, although over an hour drive to get there, but I'm not even sure if she'll take me if my current Dr. has considered me "high risk" with the blood pressure ordeal! Any advice on this would be great as I'm stressed to the max!

I used to be calm but now i just fly off the handle at her. I've tried counting to 10, tried asking nicely 1st then firmly, grounding her, taking her stuff away and all the rest. I stick by what i say and the sad thing is she's such a clever girl and she loves Athletics. I have promised her if her attitude changes i'll pay the money for her to join the South East Essex Athletic training squad she's been accepted into as she's so fast and good at it. Has anyone any ideas what else i can do as i don't want to go downhill anymore.
