I didn't-- I was in labor at 38 weeks exactly, contractions 3 minutes apart and dilated to 2 cm before they did the c-section (my son was breech), but never lost the plug.

I'm 38, nearly 39 weeks pregnant. I'm pretty close, but I never lost the mucus plug. The doctor says I may be one of those who don't lose it until very late. You're quite early...you lose the plug because your cervix dilates, around the time the baby drops. In first time mothers this generally occurs 2-3 weeks BEFORE delivery. Also, only 15% of women actually have their waters break on their own. Everyone is different, though, so you never know. 33 weeks is very early...I know how exciting it feels! Just know what to keep an eye out for and take care of yourself and remember that that 40 weeks estimate is the average...could be anywhere from 38-42 weeks. Even doctors are always guessing! Good luck and congratulations!

I thought I had lost my mucous plug, only to really lose it the next day. (It was about a 1/4 cup of mucous! Gross, I know.) I lost it with two of my four pregnancies. The first time I lost it, I had my son that night, the other pregnancy I had the baby 1 week later. Good luck!!

I lost the mucus plug on week 40, actually on Saturday, my due date, my water did not break until early Tuesday morning. I was in labor for about 10hrs and they had to induce and perform an emergency C-section on me because even though the water broke my son wasn't coming.
After all, I had a beautiful boy on late Tuesday night

Hope this helps
Good luck

I lost my mucus plug at 37 weeks and went into labor soon after. I gave birth the next day. They had to break my water at the hospital. The contractions told me I was in labor. They never tell you this but some people poo a lot while in labor. Just try to relax for the weeks leading up to your birth. Good luck.

We're all different!
I lost my plug during some intense contractions, going into "Transition." My water actually never broke; my son was born in his bag. But, then, I had a very fast labor and was dilated when I arrived at the hospital.
I know it's hard, but patience is something you'll have to remind yourself to have time & again once she's here! Congrats; what a blessing!

My first child was induced on the due date. I don't think I lost my mucus plug before that. With my second child, my water broke the day before my due date. I never noticed the mucus plug that time either. I guess I lost it when my water broke. I had pretty easy deliveries both times. I did it natural with no epidural and it wasn't that bad. Good luck on your new baby.

Be very patient. Your baby is not ready at 33 weeks. You have a couple of months left.

Every minute inside is very important. Slow down. We all get impatient. You're quite a ways off yet.
