Pregnancy & Parenting - 20 November 2007

I have been feeling very bloated and getting small pains in my stomach. I felt extremely nauseated this morning also. I just had my cycle about 2 weeks ago. My husband and I had intercourse at the very end of my cycle (sorry about the details). I did go to a walk-in center and the Dr. took a urine sample and said it was negative. I also took a test this morning and it came up negative. Could it be possible I am only a week or so along and the tests are not detecting it this early? I just don't want to continue taking the Birth Control if I am pregnant. Please no stupid remarks, this is serious, thank you.

I went in for my weekly exam and came in with high blood pressure that I have never had this entire pregnancy. So they had me lay down on my left side until it came back down and the exam proceeded.

My doctor did the doppler test and then we did a pelvic exam. He got real excited that I am 2 centimeters (which I knew from previous exams) now and then proceeded to swirl his fingers around the opening of the cervix. He said that it was to "stir things up." There was a female nurse present so I know he wasn't getting his jollies off, if you know what I mean. But why would he swirl his fingers like that?

I am 38 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I have been at 2 centimeters and (as of last week) 60 % effaced. I have already lost my mucus plug about 2 weeks ago.

This is the first time I have been able to see my doctor in a month as each appointment prior I had to see the OB nurse because he was very busy with other patients. He must be a popular doctor!

Here is whats happening:
My daughter has been really fussy lately, more so than usual. At first we thought it was just a bug because she had a runny nose and diarrhea along with a few other things. We were completely convinced she had a belly ache even though she couldnt tell us that. Well things have been really wierd these last few days. Still diarrhea and boogers but she has started to poop out everything that she eats still in its whole form. I know that i should expect that from some foods like corn but I mean its everything. Apples, olives, chicken, its all whole when it comes out. Is this normal? Should i be worried? The BM problems could be their own seperate thing and the sinus thing its own but I'm starting to really worried because she isnt eating very much or drinking much. We have been giving her pedialyte and pediacare to keep her hydrated. Any ideas or advice?

Ok so i had my period in october but it was 6days late nd my period is never late at all but it was normal then this month it was 3 days late but regular i have been really emotional and find myself crying easy i took a test before i my period came it was neg when should i test agin????????? also i have a lot of discharge it dosent smell its a pale yellow wat do you think???????????

I have not had my period after my first baby. How do I find out how far in the pregnancy I am. I have fluttering feeling sometimes in my stomach. What is that? Are you allowed maternity leave from work again so soon after having taken maternity leave the first time. (I had just returned to work 2.5 months ago).

just wondering because guys always talk about how much they like to bang pregnant chicks and how hot it is to have sex with pregnant girls since their hormones are raging and they're always horney....well ive noticed lately im always tired and dont want to have sex with my boyfriend. i am still 100% attracted to him but its just that im never in the mood...always feeling to icky or tired. and if we do have sex he needs to initiate it and start everything...is this abnormal? just wondering since everyone always says how horney pregnant girl are...

i'm feeling a bit insecure... i know, it's silly.
but my best friend is getting married & her hubby-to-be's friends from out of state are throwing him a bachelor's party & my husband is going to go since he's good friends with the hubby-to-be...
and i'm just worried :(

OK so basically im 14 and today in school i came on my period and this pad is so gross it feels like a diamper now im thinking about using tampons.Ive had my period since i was 11 and ive always used pads but like recently ive been thinking about using tampons because i think they would be less trouble.Do tampons hurt when you insert them?Whats sizes do they come in?What brand do you reccomend,what brand do you use?What are the benefits of using a tampon?Also i play softball for any of you girls who answer and are athletic do you think tampons are more comfortable than pads while playing your sport?TY in advance =]!!

I am almost 4 months pregnant and I feel so excited to be having a baby even though my back is killing me and I can barely walk. I am so anxious to know the sex of the baby and since I dont know anything about this, I wonder what my baby looks like in there. I am currently 15 weeks and I want to know how my baby looks. I dont have a sonogram until January 4th 2008 which is when they will try to see the sex of the baby. i was wondering if this was normal or if anyone else had experinced the same thing,

I'm 16 weeks and 2 days pregnant , and i have been feeling movement i know its normal to start feeling movement at this stage like fluttering etc but im feeling full on kicks and jabs and tumbles which i didnt think would happen to later on due to the babies small size at this gestational age

My placenta is attached to the back wall could it be possible im feeling such strong movements because the baby is right to the front of my stomach? also this is my second child so i know im meant to feel it more early i just didnt think i would be able to feel anything more then a flutter

btw im not complaining its great to feel my baby and know their okay im just wondering if it is the norm , or if anyone has any ideas of why this may be , also i know im 16 weeks not any more from conception dates and u/s dates

Could you be pregnant after you get your period? Last month my period was 14 days late, I was really stressed about it, when it came it was a little heavier than I’m used to on one day, and a tiny bit lighter the others, and less crampy, but it was still there for all 5 days. 2 weeks ago my lower stomach and back hurt and my head hurt, but it all went away. My stomachs felt really bloated and looks like it too. I went to the doctors because I thought I had a bladder infection, he took a pee test to make sure everything was okay, and the tests came back good. I’m still a virgin. I had oral sex last month before my last period and clothes came off, but his penis didn’t touch or really get near my area, and I’m almost sure that our hands were dry. My period is due Friday [the 23rd] and my breasts feel kind of swollen and sore, and my stomachs really bloated. Could I still be?

I was just wondering. I was thinking about waiting and being completely shocked when I give birth. Are there any advantages to waiting? Any shock value left. If you know what the sex is, is there any harm is over planning (like only blue clothes for your boy or a pink room for your girl?)
