I have never had a good relationship with my father. Since I have gotten married, it has become even worse. My husband and him do NOT get along. My dad is one of these "know-it-all" types, & if you're not talking about him & his job, he just doesn't want to hear you - My husband HATES this! We had some issues come up over the past year, & I haven't really spoken to him or anything, but now I'm due to have a baby soon, and don't know what to do? Having a baby in my opinion is my husband & our children's "special day" so to speak. I don't feel like I should have to compromise what I want for that day. I really want my mother there, but not my father. I don't need a family argument started on my son's birthday like what happened with my daughters! But he is "forbidding" my mother to be around me if he's not invited. I have my husband, but really want my mom, I feel like I'm in this sort of alone. :-( My mom is very controlled by him, so "what he says goes".

Alright my daughter was born at 35 weeks she was 4 pounds 10 ounces and within a week she has grown too 5 pounds 4 ounces so shes growing ok. She didn’t half to go the NIC unit at birth or anything else like that she did fine with all test and her breathing. Now here is the part thats making me nuts “not like im not already going that way with a newborn baby at home and me being a first time mom” Her doc said we need to get RSV shots because I work at a daycare and shes going into a daycare just not the same one because my work doesn’t have an Infant room. We have been waiting on the insurance to clear the shots and the doctors office said they gave them the paper work already so how long can it take to be approved? We aren’t taking her out for thanksgiving to neither mine or my husbands family things but we want to at Christmas but if she doesn’t have the shots by then, then im not sure. An does anyone know how long it takes “how many shots” before it starts to work?

Found out I was pregnant last week - 1st positive on Monday 2nd positive on Thursday night and Friday AM - Went and got blood drawn on Friday afternoon. Just got results back today. Something was a 73 - I am guessing how early I am @ 2 weeks - and my progesterone was 9.3. She is having prometrium filled at my pharmacy because she said that the #'s arent as high as she would like them @ 11 or more. I just recently went through this or something simular back in August as we lost our baby @ 5 weeks. Had very low #'s from the beginning starting off with a 5 progesterone level at this same time. Are these results I received today horrible? Am I going to go through what I just did a couple of months ago? Doing some research online and it is saying I am @ 4 weeks pregnant by my #'s. Could the blood test be off a little. 1st sono is December 11th

I am having triplets in a month. My husband and I are pretty set on these names Brett Matthew, Neil David and Declan James. I was just wondering if anyone had any last ideas before we start to tell family the final names. Unusual and Unique names are good.

Please include middle names to go with the firsts. By the way the Triplets are all boys in cause you didn't notice already.

We also have three year old twin boys named Shane Ryan and Damien Mitchell. We really want all the names (triplets and twins) names to mesh well together, because they will be brothers obviously.

Today my 2 yr old daughter has started stuttering totally out of the blue. I've never noticed her doing it before but today she's been doing it a lot especially when she's saying "going". Has anyone else had a child who does this? As it's just started I'm thinking maybe she's trying to say too many words at once? She's saying 6+ word sentences and speaks really well apart from this. Any ideas / advice?

That's right, tomorrow we're going to the airport to pick up our fourth edition to the family :D We're so happy!
These are our current children's names: Tessa Rose, John Riley and Lily Harper.
Can you help us think up some names that go well with our other children's names? So far we're considering Ella Grace. We'd like the middle name to be Grace, so please suggest! We like short, girly names :)

My daughter is 8 months old she started to try and crawl at 61/2 months and had it down at 7 months, so the last month has been her learning how to crawl fast and where in the house she can go. When she 1st started crawling she didnt want to stand up no matter what. NOW she is pulling herself up on everything, the cot, the tv unit, the lounge, the tables, chairs the fridge anything her hands touch she pulls herself up on even baskets. Sometime she can sit herself back down sometimes i have to help her, but i dont know if i should stop her from pulling up all the time, im scared she will hurt herself if she falls. So do i let her go or stop her?? Also how long do they usually start walking after pulling themselves up?? From sitting unattended WITHOUT ever falling over it was only 2 weeks before she started crawling and only 2 more weeks before she was doing it right, so im scared in 2 weeks she will walk LOL.

They have identical DNA, so does that mean when they have children, if there was a DNA test done they would both show to be the father?? not that I am expecting this, I just think it is very interesting, also does anybody know any good books about identical twins? Thanks!

I think it's way too young but I don't have a say. He's academically very smart but of course very irresponsible because he's only 9 years old. His mom is an airhead. I don't mean to put her down but believe me, she doesn't use the brain she has.

That is a fantastic report card. I just could not believe it when she told me. These parents are going to give their child a complex. The kid is not perfect. But that's a great report card! I just don't see why they are upset. It's great to encourage your child to always want to do better, but to WHINE about A-s is just STUPID.

I think they are insane, anyone else agree?

My 8mnth old daughter gets really cross when she doesn't get her own way or if she gets told off. She shouts and frowns while getting red in the face, clinching her fists, giving me evils and shaking with rage. This lasts for about 30secs, how do i deal with this behavour? I am not going to give in to her, but do i tell her off or just ignore it? And is this normal?

A few questions on baby showers. I read some stuff on them, and a lot of it was news to me! Are these baby shower 'rules' still applicable today?
1. Someone other than the mother-to-be throws the shower
2. A shower is held for the mother-to-be's first-born child only (as a party to welcome her into motherhood)
3. Only women attend the shower

Do people generally follow this etiquette? Or is it okay to bend these rules?

I have been around for awhile (most of her life) but I am not her father, and she is not my child. I should steal her away from her absent father and her drunk mother and take her as my own right? That is what the child services is telling me. (or asking anyway). But I am 18 and that is the problem...what should I do?

Ok went to Dr to got on the scale and OMG it was almost 190 i about flippped that was the weight i was when i delivered my first child!!!! I have been a stat at home mommy for about 1yr and 1/2 and have slowley put this weight on.. I was about 140 2yrs ago.. I dont want to be 300 pounds when i deliver . I am on BP meds and tyroid meds also.. Is their any kind mof diet or excercise i can do to help be a lil healthier through this journey??? Like not eat after 6 or walking how much.. My dr said i could walk.. My stomach also feels sooo bloated right now . Please help.. Also i am a lil worried since my last pregancy ended with a miscarriage (blighted ovum) so i dont wanna stress out to much.. Thank You all for the anwsers

Im 13 and I wanted to get a Black Macbook for Xmas. I need it for homework and music tech.

Im paying my dad £125.00 towards it. In the UK its £1000 with iLife preloaded and a whopping HD!

Im not spoilt either, yes its alot but I need this for my band and my homework (I was diagnosed with dypraxia at 11.99 years old).

I know white is cheaper but it does not go with my bands punk/rapcore style (we all voted black for anything).

I was having bad cramps and a ton of pressure low. Well it turns out my cervix is still closed so all should be fine. They also ran a test to see if I will go in to labor in the next 2 weeks and that will be in tomorrow. I noticed though I had lost 2 pounds since last week when I had my 28 week appointment (last Tuesday). Is that normal? My eating habits have not changed at all, still healthy and lots of water.

I just found out that I am a little over a month pregnant. The same day I found out, my husband was fired. So...no insurance. I cant afford to pay the COBRA to keep it. We are living with my parents with my 16 month old son and no niether of us have a job so i know I qualify for Medi Cal, but where can I use it? Can I go to a hospital? I am in the Bay Area, CA. Hayward to be exact. I want to get the card but I dont really know who will accept it. I had a card with my first pregnancy in KY and there was just a small Primary Care Center in our home town that accepted anything and referred me to a doctor at the Hospital in the next town over that accepted my medicaid card. I dont know what to do. Im so stressed and scared that I wont have any medical coverage for my pregnancy and be furthur in debt than I already am. Somebody please, please help me!
