My daughter is 8 months old she started to try and crawl at 61/2 months and had it down at 7 months, so the last month has been her learning how to crawl fast and where in the house she can go. When she 1st started crawling she didnt want to stand up no matter what. NOW she is pulling herself up on everything, the cot, the tv unit, the lounge, the tables, chairs the fridge anything her hands touch she pulls herself up on even baskets. Sometime she can sit herself back down sometimes i have to help her, but i dont know if i should stop her from pulling up all the time, im scared she will hurt herself if she falls. So do i let her go or stop her?? Also how long do they usually start walking after pulling themselves up?? From sitting unattended WITHOUT ever falling over it was only 2 weeks before she started crawling and only 2 more weeks before she was doing it right, so im scared in 2 weeks she will walk LOL.

Let her do it - just help her get back down if needed, and be prepared for a few bumps! Babies walk at different ages and rates - it sounds as though yours is in a hurry. ;-)

Oh honey, how are you going to stop her from doing what comes naturally? You would have to sit and hold her in your lap 24/7. Even if she falls and hurts herself, that is how babies learn. Eliminate all the obvious perils such as dangerous things (kinives, scissors, glass) within her reach. Remove tableclothes and anything else that dangles (watch out for lamp cords), etc, as they will get pulled off right along with everything on them. The fun is just beginning for you...try to enjoy it.

let her pull herself up but just make sure there arent any large items or furniture pieces that could fall over on her. they make brackets to secure things like entertainment centers to the fall to avoid these types of mishaps. you should be able to find them at furniture or hardware stores
usually a baby will pull herself up on something like a sofa and "walk" the length of it while holding on the whole time. once that happens you know it wont be long
congrats though, your baby is developing quite nicely

let me pull herself up, she may fall a few times and get a few bumps or bruises but that is how she will learn to set down and she will also understand her balance better.

Let her pull herself up, it helps her learn to keep her balance so she can walk freely! Just keep a keen eye out so she doesn't get hurt. Every baby is different, she could start walking tomorrow, or maybe not for a month. But her pulling herself up is a sure sign it's soon to come!
