I currently work on a temporary contract through an agency. I am aware that ALL employers MUST pay their pregnant staff for time off for ante-natal appointments. My agency are fobbing me off saying I'm not entitled to it as I'm self employed!!! How can I be self employed, they pay me and I have an employee number. I'm sure I'm entitled to it but cannot find out where this information may be. I'm 21 weeks pregnant.

I have a 4 month old son. My husband and I work separate shifts that we can take care of the baby. Well, my elderly parents live with us, and thus far, my mother has been watching the baby while my husband sleeps. He complains that it's hard for him to wake up to tend to the baby and then fall back asleep. He has a long commute to work, so my mother was willing to help, but I'm getting angry because it seems like he's just full of excuses. (He has time to go out with friends while I'm home taking care of the baby, tho.)
I blew up at him yesterday so now he's behaving, but saying he couldn't sleep and can't go to work today or else he'll have a car accident.
I suggested bringing the baby to his mother's on certain days, but am uncomfortable with the idea because that requires the baby to sleep over on the days my husband will be working. Why should I have to sacrifice time with my son because he can't fall asleep?
What should I do?

i just have to ask. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the past 4 months now. No luck yet. The thing is, I ovulated on day 20 of sept. We had sex days 16, 18 and 19 but not on the day I was ovulating. First question... is there a possibility that I can be pregnant? Reason I am asking is cause I am experiencing light cramping, backaches (not constantly) and headaches (at night) since day 22. Second question.... if I am, is it possible to have symtoms that soon after conception? I can't do any test yet cause it is way too soon. I am due in 2 weeks. Meanwhile I am trying to not think about it, but it is very difficult. I hope my head is not playing any tricks on me.

I live in Florida and have been told that drugs are an above average problem here. I know that they are every were but I have a relative that grew up in Detroit Michigan and spent several years in prison and says drugs are worse here than he has ever seen. Im going to list some questions and if you could put just the state you live in if you live in a big city or small town and answer them. If you don’t want to give your state on here either email me or put like your state plus 3 surrounding states.

1 out of all the ppl you know how many regularly smoke pot
2 of all the ppl you know how many regularly do some kind of drug
3 of the ppl you know how many were at some time strung out on some thing (other than pot or alcohol)

I am asking this in this section because I am a mother and I am concerned. We have been talking about moving just so he doesn’t have to grow up how we did. We really love it here but worry. We live in a small town. out of every person I know I can only think of maybe 5 that were not on some kind of hard drug at one point and most of the ppl we know do coke and pills regularly and just about everyone smokes pot. It has come to my attention in answering questions on here that maybe it isn’t like that every were? Meth is the worst here but I know a few ppl who were on crack also.

My boyfriends child is sleeping with his mother every night she has the child. The child is 8. I think that it is becoming a very bad habit. When the child comes to the dad's house the child can't sleep, and is scared to fall asleep. We have lived in this house for a long time now. The child has his own room and use to never have any problems with sleeping in there. He has a night light in the bedroom and a few all over the house. I think it is all because he sleeps with his mother at her house. How can we put a stop to this...What can we do?

Here's the deal, I am doing a speech on corpal punishment at home and it seems that everyone is against it but I am for it. I don't see anything wrong with it and I don't see any other good alternitives. I was spanked as a kid and it worked great. My dad always tells the story of my first spanking, i was like 3 so i don't remember but i threw a tantrum in the store so he spanked me. I never did it again because i learned to respect him and that what he says he means. On the other hand i know several people who don't spank their kids and they aren't well behaved at all. So my question is, is spanking the right choice and how can I explain it in a speech.

My son is 6 and in the first grade. He told me about this new girl in glass. I was joking around with him and said: Is she pretty? What does she lool like? Is she nice? Do you like her? He said she was real pretty and nice and she was his new friend. Then the other day I found a love note in his back pack from her that said: "I love you" Do you love me?" Then yesterday my husband found another one just like it, he hid under the bed. lol....... should i just keep thinking it's cute 1st grader stuff or should I be more concerned?

I took her to the doctor on Friday for shots and I asked about some bumps that had formed on her back and stomach. She told me that it was ____ ____ syndrome. I can't remember the name. She said it happens in kids under 5. It is bumps that come sometimes with itching and sometimes without. It can last from 10 days to 6 months. They have since covered her legs and arms and now on to her face. I want to look it up online to get more information but I can't remember the name and the doctor hasn't returned my call yet.
