i just have to ask. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for the past 4 months now. No luck yet. The thing is, I ovulated on day 20 of sept. We had sex days 16, 18 and 19 but not on the day I was ovulating. First question... is there a possibility that I can be pregnant? Reason I am asking is cause I am experiencing light cramping, backaches (not constantly) and headaches (at night) since day 22. Second question.... if I am, is it possible to have symtoms that soon after conception? I can't do any test yet cause it is way too soon. I am due in 2 weeks. Meanwhile I am trying to not think about it, but it is very difficult. I hope my head is not playing any tricks on me.

It took my husband and i 4 months to get pregnant. One thing i will tell you, is stop trying. The harder you are trying the harder it is. You are so bound and determined to get pregnant that you are not relaxing enough during sex. After trying for those 4 months and having dreams over and over that i was pregnant and taking more tests then i can count, we got pregnant. A wk after we found out we were pregnant we lost our baby, at 5 wks. It was very disappointing. Our doctor gave us the go ahead three wks later to try again. First try, well not really even a try, but the first time we had sex we got pregnant. We were both not even thinking we would get pregnant this soon after the miscarriage, but right after my husband smiled and said "We did it this time and it's a girl" I was like yeah right and just laughed it off. Sure enough he was right on both accounts. We are now 38 wks and 4 days pregnant with our baby girl.
Sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days if the conditions are perfect. So yes there is a good chance you are pregnant, but keep in mind that wanting it badly you can convince yourself that what you are feeling is from being pregnant. Also that your mind can play tricks on you and create the pregnancy symptoms too. Just like people who want it so badly and have themselves convinced they are pregnant can actually go through the whole thing, getting bigger etc etc and go for an ultrasound and have nothing be in there at all. One of my husband's college friends went through this. She was not looking to be pregnant though, he couldn't remember why it happened to her, but it was pretty strange. It's not something that is common so i would not worry about it too much, but it does happen.
From what our doc told us some people can have symptoms very early on, it depends on how in tuned with your body that you are. Just like some people can feel the baby movement as early as 10 wks. Atleast that is when i started feeling little flutters. Our doc thought that maybe we were further along then we thought and did an ultrasound to make sure. My son's friend's mother experienced the same thing and her doctor even felt it. My husband felt our baby move early on too. Our doctor said i must just be really intuned with my body and be sensitive to what goes on inside of me.
Good luck with being patient on the testing, i could never wait, i bought several tests from a place online because i could not wait. Both times we got pregnant i used the same tests and they were right on.

Any good fertility specialist will tell you stress is the enemy - try to relax. There is a possibility you are pregnant since it there is a good chance there was viable sperm at the time of ovulation. Have a nice cold beverage - ice tea, juice - relax. Try to think of happy things there are studies that show elevated mood levels increase the likely hood of successful conception. The only thing you can do now is relax and wait. Good Luck and you are in my prayers.

My head played tricks on me all the time. My first symptom was a map of lines on my breasts. Also I had heart palpitations which I never had before. Those two symptoms started before I was even due for my period. The month we conceived we also tried "PreSeed", a lubricant that is sperm friendly. I never got a lot of ewcm so we tried it and that month we got our positive! I am now 38 weeks pregnant and due October 7 with baby #1. I would recommend PreSeed. I also used the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor. Good Luck!!

Your head can play games with you the more you stress about it. Don't try so hard! If you are relaxed, and having sex on the good days you should be fine. If you continue to try with no luck then see a doctor. And depending on your body, you can show signs early, or late. It just depends on the level of hormones, and how your body adjusts to them. I was sick 3 weeks into my pregnancy, just a week after I found out. My daughter hated Arby's food! So, relax and it will come. Good Luck!

You can ovulate for two days I think. So you might have been ovulating on the 19th, though you may have been ovulating on the 20th and 21st. You certainly could be pregnant. It is probably waaay too early to show any symptoms of pregnancy though. Just try to relax. itll happen when you least expect it, hence the reason why so many teenage moms come on here saying "Im pregnant! now what!?" Good luck!
