My son is 6 and in the first grade. He told me about this new girl in glass. I was joking around with him and said: Is she pretty? What does she lool like? Is she nice? Do you like her? He said she was real pretty and nice and she was his new friend. Then the other day I found a love note in his back pack from her that said: "I love you" Do you love me?" Then yesterday my husband found another one just like it, he hid under the bed. lol....... should i just keep thinking it's cute 1st grader stuff or should I be more concerned?

Well I would say that it's just 1st grader stuff that you wuold not need to worry about as long as you kept monitoring but since he hid the note under his bed I would be a little more concerend. talk to him and let him know what you found and that its ok and help him to keep an open communication with you. He may have hid it because he did not know how you would react, if you let him know that he can bring that type of stuff to you and it's ok for him to talk about it w/ you that should help. Good Luck!

It is not something to worry about when my daughter was in the 1st grade (last year) a little boy drew a map to his house from the school, it was just a bunch of lines and squares and a house with "My house" written under it. I thought it was funny actually. Kids go through that. My daughter is 6 and in the 2nd grade now and her crush is Corbin Blue (who ever that is from HSM) I just explain to her that school is for school not time to play boyfriend and girlfriend. Her little friend came over and told me that she (her friend had a boyfriend) I personally don't think it is cute and that kids should not be thinking like that, thank God I taught my daughter that she does not need to worry about boys until she is 30, for now that seems to work but I am sure that will not last!

Sounds like cute 1st grade stuff to me.
Remember that George Strait song? Do you love me, do you wanna be my friend? and if you do, well then don't be afraid to take me by the hand if you want to. I think this is how love goes, check yes or no.
At that age, it's all innocent and they all think that when they like someone of the opposite sex, then it's considered love. I wouldn't be concerned, unless you notice something way out of the ordinary.

I think it's a cute crush. Plus, would a first grader know about sex?

It's cute at this age. It's still all "love" - like the love they get from their family.
My daughter got a marriage proposal in kindergarten...but they would still live with their own mom & dad. And there would be no icky kissing.

its cute... just keep an eye on the kid that's all... sometimes when kids get together like that they just play the role of older people and beleive me they dont REALLY know what's going on.. i use to do that kinda stuff all the time beleive me the worst thing thats happening is "ill show you mine, if you show me yours" but even thats not a big deal

All puppy love at this age is innocent. Show him that you respect his feelings and it's safe to share them with you. Even tell him about your first puppy love and strengthen the bond you have already.
