I'm 39 weeks it feels like my bones are being pulled apart in weird directions...no contractions. Very little pelvic pain. I am not dilated AT ALL. But, the hip pain is awful. There's definitely a difference than the ligaments. Any advice or insight?

My wife just called and said she walking to a store with my three year old boy. They saw something in the grass that could have looked like some weird detached "bobo". Without prompting my kid starts saying, "mommy, someone lost their bobo. What happened to the bobo?" My says, its not a bobo. "Is it a carrot?" Yeah, sure, its a carrot my wife says. "No i'ts not a carrot. It's a bobo, someone dropped their bobo."

I admit the following is not the smartest thing, & i do realize that i'm going to hear about it. but i just need answers.
Me & my boyfriend have been together for a year and a half. marriage is deff. in the future. we're good for each other. its basicly going to work out in the long run.
his mom is older & he wants to make sure she knows her grandchildren so we kinda started trying by not using any sort of protection. for three months i was off the pill & didn't get pregnant. then i got scared &started the pill up again. now we live together & we aren't exactly trying, but we aren't preventing it either.
i have HPV (as do 80% of women in the US by the age of 40) & some studies have shown that that can make you not be able to have babies which is scary because that was my dream, to be a mother. but there are also alot of cases that defy the studies.
& last but not least i was a miracle baby. my mom's uterus was tilted & the doctor said she should't have kids & its hereditary. true?

I was at a family reunion this weekend and I recieved alot of advice (wanted and unwanted) on how to concieve #3. I have researched alot on fertility and conception but there seems to be some conflicting information on Bd-ing every day or every other day. I know hubby has a good sperm count so that is not a concern. My aunt said every other day because it takes that amount of time to properly build the man's "resources" back up. I was curious to hear other women's opinions on this, especially what worked for you.

Today I will be going in for my 2nd appointment and I am actually very nervous. With my last pregnancy, at my 2nd appointment the doctor told me during an ultrasound that my baby had died and we talked about either a D&C or to let it happen natural. With this pregnancy, I am already 2 weeks further then I was last time but I’m scared that I might get the same news. Has anyone felt like this and was scared to go see the doc?

Quick question.

After months of not finding a name that starts with the letter T, we have decided that we would go with whatever I liked (because his names were HORRIBLE). So I decided on the name Mackenzie. The new problem is he thinks that it doesn't go with our last name which is Carter.

What do you think?

If you think it doesn't do you have any name suggestions? If you think it does, do you have any middle name suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

I have 4 children. They are 8, 4, 2 and 3 months. I have decided to start babysitting a couple of other children. They are almost 2 and 6 months. My questions are:

1~ How do I get my kids ready for this?

2~ My youngest 2 are mamas girls BAD. What can I do about that when they see mama taking care of someone else?

3~ Am I nuts? Is this something I should even be doing? (No we dont need the money... just thought it was a good idea! lol)

Thanks for any imput or advice you may have. I think I may need it and I dont think I thought this one through all the way! lol

I have a 2 year old, and she has always been babysat by family, never friends. I have good friends who would be willing to help me out from time to time if need be, but I'm not sure how much is an appropriate amount to pay them? Should it be per hour? Or just a flat fee for the day? I would only utilize their help for 2-6 hours at most. Also, do you pay more if they have kids of their own to watch because that just means a lot more work on their part?

I have never paid my family members to watch her as they had always offered to do it for free, so I don't have a point of reference. I'd appreciate to hear what other people think is reasonable!

i am 20 weeks preg and had my 2nd trime ultrasound recently.
my hubby was totally against knowing the sex of the baby so we dint find out but i really wanted to know. :)
then after that we visited my gyno and she wanted to see the baby's heartbeat and did an ultrasound, while doing that she saw the baby and asked us, ' oh... you are having a baby boy.... ? ' then i asked(screamed) in excitement ' ITS A BOY ???!!!!!! ' and my husband stood blinking.
by now she had figured out that we had chosen not to know the sex and she said, ' oh am not really sure.. it could be a girl... i am just concentrating on seeing the heartbeat...'
so what do you guys think ? girl or boy ?

It doesn't make sense to plan and hope for a baby and then after your maternity leave, go right back to work and leave your child in someone else's care. If your lifestyle or expenses require that you work outside the home, why bring children into the world that YOU can't care for?

It makes sense to become a mother only if you are willing to be a full-time mother, b/c that's what kids need.

lol i know this might be an obvious answer, im 18 and im a virgin, however ive recenty become a little friendlier with my boyfriend. We were into it the other night, we didnt go all the way, but he was close enough without protection, he didnt *** near my vagina, but ive heard of girls becoming pregnant from only the pre-***.
So just out of curisioty, is it possible for me to become pregnant, even if im still a virgin.

Of course I'm not going to spank her. She does her little snap fits when she wants something and she gets all bent (literally) out of shape. I pick her up and put her in her playpen and tell her to be a good girl, firmly, "You are not being a good girl!" Seems like there are some things out there that work effectively. Help! (thank you!)

p.s. she's smart. she says, "good" and "girl" and understands many words, so my telling her that does sink in I think....

I am pregnant with my second child and did not breastfeed my first child. I am trying to decide if I want to do it or not this time. I will be returning to work around eight weeks or so after she is born and also am a bit uncomfortable with trying it. Why should I or should I not breastfeed?

My husband and i are pregnant with twins, we don't know the genders. My husband likes traditional, biblical names [he is a pastor] and i like more unique, new-age names. We are having trouble agreeing on names.
p.s. we dont like "twin" names [names that sound alike]

Our first is named Benjamin, and we would like for his brother to have a name that is similar in character, length, and popularity. Basically, we think that we would like to stick with Old Testament names, but avoid anything too popular (like the top ten names, i.e. Jacob and Daniel) or anything too unusual. Eli is a likely candidate for a middle name, but that's not set in stone.

I have been taking birth control for about 1 month now. This week is my inactive pill week. I missed two pills on Friday, August 10th and Saturday, August 11. [I'm supposed to take the pill at 9:30 each night] I had unprotected sex Saturday morning. Later in the day on Saturday i started bleeding lightly so I thought it was just spotting as a side effect of me missing the pill. Monday I had what seemed like a full blown period but lighter. I had slight cramping the first few days and then none. For the week of the 12th i bled lightly with no menstrual symptoms[which i usually get]. I've been craving spagetti like crazy and also have been drinking a lot of milk....Could I be pregnant? How long do I wait before taking a pregnancy test?

Ok im 37 weeks pregnant and this is my first, so I pretty clueless on alot of things. Last night I went to the bathroom and my shirt was wet. I was lactating. I thought you start lactating when the baby is born? Does this mean anything? I know this is a pretty silly question, but I was just wondering.

Dear yahoo answer members - I am 23yrs old and this is my first pregnancy. The doctor told me she would like to discuss with me the results of the screening test taken to see if the baby might have down syndrome. I suppose this is not good news, and I have a feeling of what she's going to tell me. Should I be worried if the screening test results have come back positive? Is there a slight chance there might be a mistake? I'm just wondering if anyone else has gone throught this, and would be willing to share their experience or words of wisdom on the matter. Thanks.

A hopefull mom -to-be.

I have been very tired had headaches and I had cramps a few days ago like I was about to start my period. I took a test this morning and it was negative. Do you think it could be to early still?
