My first child is due oct 6th..I am really excited yet anxious about my delivery day. I was wondering any mommys do you have any suggestions on how to make first time labor alittle easier..Ive been told walking..walking and more walking..I walk every day for 30 min to 45 mins...Im 33 weeks now so its getting more and more difficult with so much pressure down there and my baby is head down already and feels like he is ready to fall out lol...Im so sore alot of the time in my upper part of my legs in that area..does that mean im going to have a hard time with labor..I do plan on having a vaginal delivery and not being induced ..but i also heard just cause you plan does not mean thats how it will happen. Anyway any suggestions on how to prepare..ohh and Im a single mother all my money is going towards things for my baby..my home..and things like that..Dont have the money to take a birthing class so that is the other reasons im looking for advise from mommys..thanks in advance

If you detected your surge or got a positive OPK reading on Aug 8, when did you ovulate? Aug 11? Also if I ovulated on Aug 11..would I say that I expect to get my period on 25 or 26? I usually have a 14 day luteal phase...hope i'm pregnant this time :)

what is the longest the midwifes/obgyn people can let a women stay pregnant after her term time before having 2 do a ceseran am curious because i am due today and nothing has been happening other than some tingly feelings and am curious how long they could leave me before starting 2 induce or something like that?

They've grounded me until i go back to school in like 10 days. they did it this morning (at midnight).

I'm not even allowed out of my room! all they've done it for, is so I cant go out an meet this person they dont want me to see because they hate this person's guts. I've been in my room for just over 13 hours and i'm bored out of my head. I'm allowed out for water and food and stuff you know. and they havnt taken away my tv or my laptop (obviously or i wouldnt be able to write this), or my ipod or any of my stuff, just my life!

do you think this is fair?

I have twin 13 month olds. They used to take 2 2-hour naps a day. Now they are doing a 3 hour morning nap, and barely a one hour afternoon nap. They seem tired in the afternoon but they don't fall asleep very well in their cribs and then they don't sleep for long. Should I be trying to get them on one long nap? I have tried to hold off the morning nap as long as possible but that makes them really cranky. Any ideas?

This is my first month trying to use an ovulation kit. I have only been using it for three days.. and so far every day the test is negative. SIgns I am ovulating are there though.. sore boobs and clear & stretchy cervical mucus.

What was the biggest difference in your ages? What were or are your biggest complaints? Did anything get better or worse as you got older? Was there something good about sharing a bedroom?

I'm an only child, but I've had several teenage friends who had to share their bedrooms with a 4 year old and I can't imagine what that's like. Any stories?

well you see i am pregnant again!after just giving birth 3 months ago before that i got pregnant 2 months after my first was born so i have been pregnant now going on 3 yrs straight i am so devestated.it seemed like this was destined to happen to i was suppose to get an iud placed and kept missing my appiontments due to lack of child care for the other two and then my husband stayed home to watch them and our car broke down,but you see the whole time we used condoms and one day the condom slipped off during intercourse,i thought nothing of it until i missed my period that month and went to the clinic to get my birth control and found out i was pregnant i cried,literally cried i am beyond fertile i plan on getting the tubes tied after this.but the question is has anyone ever had 3 or more consecutive pregnancies and how did they deal with it.it is so hard do not recommend this to anyone just dont do it .

The norm in America seems to be for both parents to work and for the young baby to be put in a daycare center. The daycare centers tend to me crowded, small, too expensive, and have uneducated and underpaid employees. Why is this acceptable to most American mothers?
