You can only get pregnant when you are ovulating and maybe 2-3 days before and after. The pill can mess up your period as you described. You would not be having food cravings this soon. Pregnancy symptoms don't appear until around 7 weeks. Take a test.

Well, keep in mind that you "could" get pregnant even if you take your birth control religiously, since the ONLY 100% effective birth control is abstinance. There are an awful lot of people walking around today who were conceived while mom was on the pill.
Okay, you need to know that until your body gets completely used to the pill, you could have periods that are a bit different than the ones you've had before, and that can stick. Most likely, I would think what you're experiencing is actually caused by the pill, as your body gets used to it.
Technically, you probably could take a test now. You can take it after your first missed period, but if you've already started an unusual period, you could get an accurate reading. If it comes up negative, and a month from now you miss a period altogether, and you're still worried about being pregnant, take another one then.
From this point on, take that pill EVERY day, preferably at the same time every day, and if you do miss, use a condom until you start another month. Being on the pill is totally useless if you don't use it the way you're supposed to.

Taking birth control pills makes your period shorter and lighter. so if this is your first month on the pill then you are going to expect this change as its your first period since starting the pill. this is probably just the normal effect that you are seeing from using the pill. the pill must be taken correctly to be 99.whatever % effective. but if you can not take it correctly it loses its effectiveness and it will mess up your cycle. if i were you i would try a different form of contraception. you know they have a patch that is just as effective as the pill and more effective if it can be used correctly because you only have to change it every week and your inactive week you use no patch at all. birth control must be used correctly to be effective.
so to answer your question i think you are seeing expected results from the pill and should not worry too much. but take this as a lesson. if you do not want to become pregnant find a method that you can use correctly.
i had this same problem with the pill. usually it would be because whereever i was my pill was at home. very unreliable method for me.
good luck and be careful.

Dannie,
Here is a little bad news for you. Birth control pills only work after one month. You are supposed to use something else as well the first month.
Pee on a stick in a week and see what happens...

There is definitely a chance that you could be pregnant. Since you've only been taking bc for a month there's a chance that it hasn't really started working yet because your body needs to adjust to it and since you missed 2 that's another reason. However, it depends on when you ovulate and when you had your last period whether or not you actually could be. With a little more information I could better answer your question. Good luck to you!!

birth control pills aren't 100 percent birth control. my mom and i both got pregnet while on the pill. so weather you miss one or two it don't matter. the best thing to do is just keep track of your monthly and if you have any thoughts of being pregnet just check with your doctor. you can take a pregnacy test any time.
good luck.

Yeah I would say you left yourself to a big chance of getting pregnant. I would wait a week for a test , or take one first thing in the morning , so it can detect better.

Missing pills, ESPECIALLY in the first month, could potentially leave you vunerable to pregnancy. Take a pregnancy test soon, because you very well be pregnant.
